I've definitely come to the same conclusion as you. As much as my budget-oriented mind wants the hollyland products to be great, they just don't cut it with the latency :(
My fav way to test latency is to split the signal out of camera (sdi/hdmi) then do one straight into the atem and one through the wireless units and into the atem. Then use a frame latency video from photojoseph. But that little gadget looks pretty fancy! I sent the c1 back as the latency was unusable. Ace500 FTW
Yup, if it’s not a Teradek, Vaxis Storm or Cinegears Ghosteye, I can’t recommend it for streaming. Especially if you are showing people’s mouths when they speak.
