Wow! It's amazing how far sailing yachts have come in the last 20 years. And with the tech on board, if somehow you fell off the boat and needed it to come about, there's probably an app for that.
6’7”. Forget the Chesapeake. I don’t get it. You can’t even watch the sun set on the Rhode River. Totally unprotected from weather. Totally unprotected from a following sea. The modern look sacrifices storage. It’s nuts. Does it come with two batteries? Twin rudders w 6’7” draft? This is a boat for a guy who just sold his Tesla stock, has never sailed before i will be interested in seeing how the secondary market is affected by this movement. Looks like a bowling alley. Great big boat with a tiny dinghy garage.
Wow, this is an exciting Yacht with incredible value! Full disclosure I recently sold a 2014 Oceanis 55.1 with Dock & Go plus the Classic Main Sail and am smitten!
Good boat for coastal cruising and sitting at the dock but not for crossing oceans. Sailed a 50’ from Hawaii to Vancouver.. yacht shuttered in waves and the rigging is inappropriate for yacht of this size. Looks like 26’ macgregor rigging on a 50’ boat, furling was way too undersized. Galley is not suited for offshore, very difficult to cook while heeled over especially on a starboard tack. Following seas filled the cockpit and our feet were always wet. Shower doors will not stay closed on a starboard tack. V berth was unusable while underway, we just used it for storage. Hopefully this boat is bette4 than the 50’ but it looks very similar, galley looks better.
The designer of the interior has completely eliminated all overhead lockers not only in the saloon. but in the forward cabin as well....Can anybody tell me where the storage is going to be for cruising.??? I mean, where does one keep the baked beans and beer..??
