Today, for my first video, I'll be unboxing the new 25th Anniversary Tamagotchi Smart, and providing you with every single possible info I could think of! I also will be providing some cultural insight about some items and references featured in the new Smart. I hope you find this video helpful!

This was the best guide!! I ordered the smart recently and I’m trying to familiarize myself with the menu early as I cant speak/read any Japanese 🤣🤣 so the language barrier has me a bit worried but I’m still so excited! Hey everyone! This is my first video that I'm doing at this length and for myself, rather than for a college assignment! I apologise for any editing errors I've made (I caught one at 21:17) and for the just ok voiceover! I also forgot to lock the exposure, which caused the lighting to automatically reconfigure each time the screen went black on the Tamagotchi. I hope it won't disturb your viewing experience too much, and I'll make sure to keep this in mind for the next video! omg, LOVE the culture talk, and thank you for explaining! The main reason I love tamagotchi is because I find it a miniature of Japan culture, including the food, festivals and locations, etc.

Thanks for this guide! I got the Pix and the Smart at the same time, and it's only been a few days that I've had them now. So far, I think I enjoy the Pix a lot more than the smart, it feels like there's a lot more to do and the games are a lot more enjoyable. This is so informative!! But may I ask if you know, since the tamasmacard is limited to only 3 devices, does it apply to a single device too? Does this also mean that we can only download the data for a maximum of 3 times on the same device as well?

Thank you so much! When you link your Smart to the tamasmacard, it will be able to download the data an unlimited amount of times! This goes for the other 2 Smarts linked to the card as well :) Hope that clears things up!

I believe the only way to have received the 1996 smacard was to get it packaged with that specific Tamagotchi Smart watch. Some were/are selling it online for outrageous prices. Keep in mind that smacards only support a total of 3 uses, so beware if you purchase from someone online to verify whether or not it has been used previously.

Hi, I believe it would be better to turn it on while charging as you can check the battery status like at 7:15. For maximum charging time, I think 2 hours at most, and that's only if it has really been exhausted. Otherwise, check in from time to time at the battery settings! So do you think for us having played with the tamagotchi on and tamagotchi meets most recently, that this will feel a bit hollow? It does bother me that the smart basically is stuck at home, and that they just stay in the corner...whyyyy

Well, for now, it will feel a bit empty since those who have the 25th anniversary card are stuck with the one tamasmacard. But with the release of 5 TamaSmaCards (Nizoo, Sweets, Rainbow, Cosmetics, Gourmet) this and next month, I think we'll start to struggle to keep up with all the new content, haha. This was also the case with the Digimon Vital Bracelet. Still have tonnes of Digimons I haven't raised because of the sheer amount of releases.

I got the white Niziu version of this. My only gripe so far is that the white color gets discolored SUPER FAST. I'm not sure how to properly clean this, but not sure why it became discolored in the first place as I do not handle it with dirty hands. Maybe just use, but mine is only a month old.

Hi, thank you so much! I use After Effects for any graphic animations, and the overall video edit is done in Premiere Pro. I edit all my graphics to be transparent in Photoshop! For my camera, I just use my regular old phone camera, but film with an app called OpenCamera which helps me control how the video looks more precisely. The most important thing is lighting. I have 2 cheap ring lights and one clip-on light to create a faux 3-point lighting setup! You'll be surprised how much better the video looks on a camera with enough light! Thank you for pointing it out, I will fix my lighting for sure and learn how to use After Effects for my graphics. I hope it will work for Final Cut Pro since I don’t use Premiere. You'd have to swipe the screen to the right to go out the door. If you swipe the main screen to the left, you'll get to the clock faces instead.

Does the content changes everytime you put a different tama smart card on the device or all the content is unlock forever ?

You can also install one card into the device at the time, it overwrites if you install another!

My Tamasmart Sanrio arrived for me yesterday! But since then I've noticed something I can't let go... Has anyone noticed a kind of "ghosting" when switching menus? It's fast and very discreet, but there is, is this normal? For those who have Kindle, it's almost like that. :(

The screen on the Smart is very slightly larger than the Meets. It will be closer to a 4U! That's the screen protector I used when this was released.

There’s an aftermarket card you can buy and plug in that will patch the smart in English for you. It resets your smart entirely but you get it in English forever

I feel abit left out😂because I got my Tamagotchi late.Are there other ways to charge it? Besides using a laptop/pc? Because I dont have one...What about using the adapter from a phone and plug the cable it in to charge?Would that work?

It's never too late! New cards are coming out all the time now. 😊 I heard some people use their Nintendo Switch dock, if you happen to have one. I'd say keep a close eye on it if you use your own adapter! Better safe than sorry.

How is the touch screen holding up? I have older versions and the screens are basically plastic material and easily scratched. Now that the screens are touch screens, I'm afraid even more >w

I would highly recommend sticking a screen protector IMMEDIATELY. Bandai screens always scratch easily so I slapped one on before I even turned on the camera. 😂😂

Good morning guys would it be interesting if we had a tamagotchi connection remake? All of the Tama fans are emailing Bandai America to get these rereleased or even remade with aspects of the on like a back lit screen. The connections are a whole lot of fun and they even allow your tama to go to pre school, school gets a job and evolves based upon care and their attributes! It would be also cool if somehow they brought back tama town but an app version of course free but, micro payments can be in the game for certain characters or energy points for your tama to play in tama town. Bandai have been paying attention to our emails, and they have been very responsive. If we all email them and let them know maybe we can get a rerelease or even better a revamped version.

How long does the battery last?

It will vary depending on usage amount. I think you could easily drain your battery within 2 days when you first start off since you're busy looking at all the new features. If you're only checking in to feed it and clean it up, I think you could go over a week!

I have mixed feelings....I am very happy Tamas are very loved and used in Japan but I am very sad that here we don't get them 😢. I'm not ungrateful because I love the pix I just got. But I have always wanted what Japan has. These Tamas are so cool. 🔥 Do only kids play with Tamas in Japan? Because I an adult loveee Tamas I always have. This reminds me of when I really wanted those cute pink and purple Tamas that had a heart on them, 10 year old me would have loved the girly design 💜. I ordered a pix and an on, I've only played with the pix and I love it, it's adorable, the on hasn't gotten here yet but I can't wait to play with it.

Hey Diana! I believe there is a sizeable fanbase of adult fans of Tamagotchi in Japan. Yeah, definitely there are some things like non Japanese speakers are missing out on, like the dialogue, but it wouldn't affect too much of the experience at least!

I do get some dialogue related to hanging out/walking when I walk a certain amount but besides that, not really!

The Uni has this feature but the smart does not. With the Uni, you can setup a walk and after your walk it rewards you with items

Some people have coded a DiM card to add custom content to the smart. As gamers know, having mod support will keep your game alive indefinitely.

Unfortunately, you can't change birthdates without doing a hard reset. This has been an issue for a long time for many international fans. 😬 If you do reset, look out for this screen 4:28 あなたのたんじょうび This means your birthday

tamagotchi smart is so boring i just purchase this recently to bring back my inner childhood but its very disapointing because is its not interacting not like way back 1997 my tamagotchi back then is always beep seeking for attention. . . but this smart is hilarious
