our old TA was the same way, turns out he was the nasty one and didn't get any perks from MSC, He preferred NCL because they gave him stuff and invited him on cruises for free. We have a new TA and it is working just fine.@@jimdelaney6468
Ok, we just got off of the MSC Seashore, and I'm about to rain on this ladies parade. It was her problem about the guest being separated; --book earlier--. As for her drink package issue, she wasn't transparent to you. As for the muster drill, that was a smooth process, she is just mad because she can't follow directions or it's her blonde hair. Again I just got off this ship this morning, and already planning our next trip for next year on the same MSC ship. MSC SEASHORE IS A MUST
@@EricAripez I’m so glad you loved it. We’re actually going back next week for a redo in hopes they’ve worked out the kinks. Our rooms were across from each other and we loved our rooms. Happy Cruising!
I was on the Seashore in June, boarding took 20 min, seriously from hopping off the Uber to the room 20 min. The cruise itself was fantastic, from dinner to buffet to bars, pools. Zero complaints, I cannot wait to take another cruise on Seashore.
I just came back from a MSC Seashore cruise from Port Canaveral and it was VERY GOOD! Great ship, great fun (the parties are out of this world) and the food was good. MSC is coming back - at least this ship.
i cruised on the Seashore a little over a year ago. No complaints. Enjoyed the food at all venues, the pizza on the buffet was incredible, staff was fabulous, room steward...she was magnificent! Drink service was exceptional....as far as the line cutting, that is what the European cruisers do...I've read several times that is just what they do. As far as the elevators, I'm on a cruise, on vacation....I'm in NO hurry to get anywhere. A little wait was no big deal.
we had our room reservation linked to my brothers room reservation on Seashore...they had drink pkg..we did not..NO issue with us all seated at the same main dining room table.Muster drill is NOW run differently..no need for everyone to show up at the same time. by keeping hitting the elevator buttons actually slows service down.
Lucky you! We had no problems prior on the Meraviglia so I think it’s determined by whomever you speak to that connects the rooms. How would pressing the buttons more make the elevators slower?
Sorry so many people have a problem with MSC. Will be going on my 4 th cruise with Msc this year. 3rd on seashore. Also went on celebrity this pass year and the only big difference was the amount of money I paid for celebrity. But with that being said you only get what you make out of it. Sit back relax and enjoy the ride
100%!! We have our first celebrity booked for this June. From everything I’ve heard, I’m so excited! With MSC there is definitely value there. I’ve heard they’re aware of the shortcomings and working on improvements. They have the ability to be the #1 cruise line. But if they improve will that mean the rates go up as well? 🤔
@DestinedJourney you will love celebrity. The only problem I do have with MSC is there lack of ports of call in the eastern Caribbean. I live close to Port Canaveral and I am looking forward to celebrity coming to our Port in late 2024😁
Celebrity is overrated and IMO is for older folks. I was almost crushed a few times with all the motorized wheelchairs.vying for elevator space. Plus,we didn't like the food at all, had to send back meals that were undercooked, overcooked and cold.
I don’t know whether to watch the whole video because your first several complaints are just normal procedure. You seem to have a real attitude about this cruise.
Yes this cruise was rough. This video is focused on the "misses" but check out my "hits" list if positivity is more your vibe. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KmHGySDd1Ok.html
I watched this because we booked on MSC Seashore but... some of this makes it hard to believe you cruise regularly. Not being allowed in your room right after boarding is standard. Pushing a bunch of buttons at the elevators like you and everyone else was is LITERALLY the reason they don't work properly. Some of this is reasonable and some if it is nonsense.
Hi Allison! We knew we couldn’t be in our room so it was odd they sent us there for room cards. I thought I mentioned it in the video but the ONLY thing that did work was pressing buttons over and over. They are working on making improvements, so hopefully by the time you go they will have worked out the kinks. Happy Cruising!
Each time you press the button, it adds another passenger on that floor using the elevator, so if you and ppl on floors abovecyou do this, then it will presume the elevator is full before going to your floor, thus putting a different elevator number , (it now thinks that elevator is full)
Seems like you will have a better time on your next cruise if you're prepared. I find that the facebook groups offer a ton of insight and leave me well-prepared, so next time, pay more attention to what is said in the general group so you're not so caught off guard. I have never had a bad vacation and that is because I'm grateful. I think that outlook could be helpful to you - allow you to not complain so much about such minutiae, and focus on the fact that you're on vacation. Are the "difficult" aspects really worth puting out into the world?
Don’t misunderstand, we had a wonderful time together!! My goal with this channel is to help everyone by sharing the good, bad, and ugly. I think if we go into things with open eyes it can help soften the blow or give us the opportunity to book something different. I read info on social media but take it with a grain of salt as the intent of many is to complain instead of being helpful. Our next cruise is the NCL Prima and if I listened to the comments we would definitely be choosing another ship. Lol!
Several solo cruises with msc. Never seated alone. Giant floating disco ball. Love it. Ocean cay fantastic if you dont need waterparks but love to snorkel on the beach.
we were on the Seashore in early January for a 7 day and it was great... MSC has freestyle dining if you are in the Aurea class.. We walked right on at embarkation.. All other cruise companies leave your key cards at the cabin. MSC has some differences for sure, but they are also much cheaper than most other cruise lines.. Next time spend a little more and get Aurea or even Yacht club and you will see a difference..
That definitely makes sense but when you cruise often it starts to get redundant. I don’t mind the drill specifically but all the extras with videos in your room and taking calls on the phone etc……
Funny….I must be super lucky. I’ve been on MSC 6 times. Only issue I had, and it was very upsetting to me. The cruise ended. All your complaints, some are common any cruise line. Like you can’t get in your room until a certain time. Food was very god to excellent, service very good to excellent, elevators service no issue, line cutting by the folks that have no class was an issue ( wait not an MSC issue ) . I could go on but all I hear is a complaining type personality. I could be wrong or just very lucky.
Yes this video is my "miss" list. I have a "hits" list too! lol. I've learned that EVERY experience is unique even on the same ship at the same time. My intention is to help and since you have already experienced several MSC cruises I can see how it wouldn't be. I can't wait to sail the new World America next year! Happy Cruising! Here is my "hits" list. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KmHGySDd1Ok.html
we did the crossing from Rome to Port Canaveral....had a fabulous time. FYI Seashore does have dine on your own...we linked reservations with friend....ate together. Wonderful crew...
I was on the Seashore recently in May 2024 and I agree with most of your misses. Especially the lack of staff which led to bad service and SLOWWWWW drink service. I gave up several times at bars after waiting 15 minutes,. The worst part is the server and bartenders aren't even friendly. It's like they don't give a flip. That's probably because they automatically add a 15% tip to every drink you buy so they have no incentive to work quickly or even smile - that's on top of the $17 per day per guest gratuities they charge at the end. The food was hit or miss, but I've found that's every cruise. Believe it or not, we thought the food on MSC was better than Disney, which was 2x the price. But the service on Disney is unmatched. Remarkable, really. Not sure I would go back on MSC, but they're so cheap it's hard to complain much.
Yes sir! So hard to beat the price even though you find yourself struggling in certain ways to get through the week. We booked the World America (their new ship launching next year) because it’s a different design and I’m trying to stay hopeful. Last week we did our first ever Celebrity cruise and 😳😳😳 it was AMAAAAAZING! I agree with you on the non friendly staff but don’t think it’s due to auto gratuity because all ships have that.
I was just on MSC seashore May 2024. I had no issues with any surcharge for added entrées at dinner had no issues with towels. The muster drill was fairly simple and although I could see your point about being a little bit of annoying, but nothing out of this world. The elevators, so you wait five minutes for an elevator, life is too short to make a big deal out of that especially when you’re on vacation. .!! Did not do any of the water slides can’t comment on that . My credit card was not taking for some reason, but resolve that quickly by going to get service. PS I’m a Solo traveler, the food I thought was really good the bar service little slow so you doubleFist two drinks and you said your good to go.! My question is if her experience with them was so bad, why has she cruised on them yet Again...!!! And yes would do MSC seashore again great ship ,great food, no complaints…!!!
@@georgealmengor6425 I’m not quitting MSC! They have the potential to be an amazing cruise line! Many misconstrue me sharing my experience as complaining but the point is to share EVERYTHING about my experience so potential cruisers are prepared. I do have a “hits” list as well. HITS on the MSC Seashore ~ Sharing all good stuff on this ship! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KmHGySDd1Ok.html
@@rosecarter344 I really enjoyed the cruise. Private Island was my favorite of all others I've been to. Food was fine. I don't have any complaints. I'm looking to book again
Call it what you want but their policy is to NOT link if all don’t have the same. We got lucky a cruise prior on the Meraviglia and were able to link but ALL of social media said they didn’t have the same luck. It’s random with who you get on the phone.
As regular NCL cruisers, we decided to test out MSC (4 night on Seashore in March) and I gotta tell you, I'm a little worried after watching this video. 😂 Gotta go watch thr hits so I can sleep better tonight.
I fear MSC take a unfair number of negative hits for some reason across these reviews. We’ve been on five of they’re ships now and had an amazing experience on each one. 100% perfect? No,but neither were the other cruises that we’ve been on. Don’t worry. You will have a great time!
That's awesome!! I love to hear this because we are NOT trying to give up on MSC....take a bit of a break yes, but they really could be the leading cruise line in a few years if they listen to their customers.
I agree totally with your shared experiences We just got home from a 14 day cruise with MSC seashore. Won’t travel again with this cruise line. Pros of our trip were the ports....enjoyed each one except Jamaica where we got scammed in a taxi; have to admit was our fault for not clarifying the price. Since learned we should have only used the red licence plate taxis. However, this ship is geared for drinkers, bars everywhere. And a lot of young families....would be great for them. The elevators were frustrating to use. First three days we had no communication about the ports as we have older phones and can’t download their app. Finally our room steward left daily planners on our bed each night. The entertainment was amazing; best production numbers we have ever seen. I agree about the dining rooms....our waiter was excellent but food was not always hot and bland. Some positives: our cabin was comfortable and used balcony a lot. Debarkation was a nightmare. We almost missed the bus to the airport and our flight home. Over all, we will not sail with MSC again. This is our opinion of our experiences. Some may disagree...
We did self assist luggage which is the first group to leave since we had to haul our own luggage. We walked right off last year on the Maraviglia and figured if we have to be out of the room we may as well get off. No idea how many others had the same idea along with the rest of the ship just trying to get to the buffet or wherever made the elevators even slower than usual.
It was a 4 night. We brought family members so we wanted to keep costs down but you are right, the shorter cruises seem to be focused on boozing and gambling.
So experienced MSC Cruiser just take and extra drink to your room for the muster. That being said it is for safety. The goal is to find issues and be safe so this makes sense, it might be annoying but they are testing safety.
I don’t care what you say, this is my favorite cruise line over others line always have fabulous experience on this luxury MSC. And I do love cruises 🚢
Just got off the Seashore today, and hated, hated, the elevators! The decor is bland all grey, white, black and mirrors. If you do get on the elevator there are mirrors on all sides, so you stare uncomfortably at all the other people in there.
The Decor is Bland?? Now I know it’s true some people just complain to complain!! MSC has the Most Rich and Beautiful looking Ships out there.. No other Cruise Line has the Look of Luxury like MSC Seashore/Seascape and others.. Stop complaining and actually enjoy your Vacation..
I find your review to come across arogant and misleading. You yourself created half if your problems based upon what you described yourself doing. Please do one of 2 things if you don't know ask OR do YOUR research before getting on the ship. Most of your misses is because you didnt get your way ...mist cruiselines have these rules. We love cruising and have been on many...NCL and MSC are our favorite lines but have been on Celebrity,Carnival, and Royal as well...sorry but this review is a MISS
@@mrfrank022084 They had the same style at the Crown Plaza Hotel and it was wonderful. Something is wrong with MSC’s version because elevators rarely showed up and by the time they did there were too many people waiting that all couldn’t fit.
You must have cruised in February/march I was on that cruise and I felt like the crew were very unhappy for some reason. I did not like the main pool, or the dreary feeling buffet, the elevators are a huge nightmare. I loved the Meraviglia but the Seashore not a fan. Also when we cruised there was a free espresso machine at the beverage station at the buffet, I heard recently that they now charge 5.00 to use it. If MSC is not careful they are going to 5.00 themselves out of the U.S. market.
Yes I heard that as well about the espresso machine! We were on the Meraviglia as well and while we liked the Seashore better as far as the ship but I know what you mean about the staff seemed angry. I didn’t think of it that way before but something was off. We’re doing on the World America next year. That’ll be our next MSC cruise. Hopefully there will be improvements. I still think MSC has great value overall.
I loved my Seaside cruise, best $2000 balcony ever! Included drinks and wifi too. We had the same issue at embarkation, someone wasn't ready for their cruise to end🤣 Can't really blame MSC though. The drink package is well documented too!
Helpful information and things to keep in mind as we prepare to sail on the Seashore! One note - your only plays the dialog out of the right speaker (music plays in both). Not the end of the world, just something to keep an eye on in the future!
I did hear that after the fact. Seems it would be easier to handle at check in but it does eliminate a step making check in quicker. We just got off our first Celebrity ship and they did the same but the process was insanely quick.
Wow, if seems like a selfish little girl that didn't get her way, it seems that your problems were self inflicted.. I've been on msc before and next week again and have not had any of your problems.
My main issue with MSC was the music. Trust me I enjoy latin music but that was basically all they played. It seemed like it was a zumba cruise. People were enjoying it but it would have been nice to hear something else at times. Any other genre of music they played was from the 60-80s, even in the “nightclub”. The lounge had small kids in there on the dance floor. It was a beautiful cruise for relaxing, but definitely not for partying if you enjoy urban or American music.
We love MSC. We never waste time on dining rooms on any ship unless its specialty. The elevator issues are caused by multiple people beating the key pads to death. Also, always go on a cruise knowing there to be 5000 other people on the ship and expect delays and a few disappointments, so many people these days think it's all about me! We drink quite a lot and NEVER had to wait over 5 minutes at the bar because there were so many bars to go to. To each their own, I guess, sorry you had bad experiences!
There were many great aspects of the ship as well which are on my "hits" list. Regardless of the amount of people they should staff appropriately and be prepared. I understand things happen and am quite patient overall, but in comparison to every cruise I've been on prior, this one had the most hiccups. Happy Cruising!
Interesting review. MSC unabashedly caters to the lowest common denominator, even lower than Carnival, so your experiences should not have come as a surprise. You get what you pay for, and as my beloved points out "why cruise with people you would never live among?"
We have NOT been on carnival and have no plans to but my perception from the videos I’ve seen is the brawls and trash behaviors are always featured in Carnival cruises. I am keeping optimism of MSC as they have beautiful ships and lot of potential if they could put effort into tweaking the shortcomings. Don’t get me wrong I will be eerily walking on to my next MSC cruise and have several other lines ahead of my next MSC but I’m not counting them out just yet.
My God, havent heard this many fails for all other cruise lines combined. I'm gonna watch the hits video, but i seriously doubt it'll convince me to book with them. Think I'll stick with my plans for princess for my 1st cruise.
I’ve only heard great things about Princess but haven’t cruised with them yet. MSC can be great value but they have some kinks to work out. I’ve heard they’re working on improvements so hopefully I’ll have better news after the next one. 🤞🏻
Don't understand the key card thing. You get that when you sign in and for a few bucks you can get the wrist band that makes everything very simple. How did you get on the ship without a key card? You have to show that to get on, something is not right. We sail exclusively MSC Yacht club, used to do Celebrity, NCL Haven and Royal, no more MSC Yacht club all the way. The reason the elevators don'e work is because impatient people keep hitting the button over and over and confuse the crap out of the system.
Everyone has different perspectives on how those elevators work. Some have stated you have to hit the button as many times as the amount of people in your group. The key card thing was odd because we got them in advance on the Maraviglia.
30+ cruises, the last 7 were on MSC. And it’s been our go to, what’s weird is..the things you’re talking about has not happened to us. But we have not been on this ship, we sail on it though on June 6th. So we will find out. But I’d like to comment. -We have had no issue connecting 3 rooms with 2 not having a drink package for dinner. That’s just bizarre -On Divina Seascape and Meravelia the mustard (I know, but I like calling it that) drill was so easy. Again completely different. -We don’t take elevators. We do the steps. Gotta stay in shape. -Main Dining rooms. We found the food were probably a little better on Royal, except for the pizza. Pizza on MSC is great. Size of the plates, again same as RC, or any place that is supposed to be a little higher end does the large plate with a small portion. We have never had to pay $5 for a 2nd entree. - Service bars. Yep. MSC. RC. Norw. All of them. Every time.
We were about to connect our rooms on the Meraviglia prior so I think it’s dependent on who you speak to. We actually called twice for the Seashore and told the same thing twice. The added charge for entrees is new. I think this policy change happened shortly before our cruise. We’re still looking forward to the World America next year though. 🤞🏻 Happy cruising!
This will be my first MSC Cruise and I choose to relax and enjoy myself. We can always find something not to our liking but why ruin your vacation with things you can't change.
Wow you like to complain lol just sailed that ship in February with 3 couples. It was amazing! Everybody had a blast and for the money it was one of the best cruises we have been on. The ship is amazing I highly recommend this cruise. Dont listen to this lady she is a big downer lol
That’s great to hear! It’s reassuring knowing people had much better experiences than us. I haven’t given up on MSC and have already booked the Aqua. Happy cruising!
all cruise lines take for ever to disembark, you have to temper you expectation you get what you pay for. Poor food is typical on most large cruise companies unless you put out more money just know what to expect
Sailed MSC a couple weeks ago and it was awful. I heard that if Yacht Club members scanned their key card it would give them priority on elevators which may be why it took forever. The food was inedible, and made my husband and I both sick. The entertainment was a joke. Never again!
Sorry you had an awful cruise but if i were you id avoid Carnival too because other than the muster drill everything talked about in this video is exactly how Carnival does things
It really wasn’t aweful at all! I didnt try to convey that. It was just that the difficulties were far more difficult than we’ve ever experienced and we took our son and his family on their first cruise. We have absolutely no interest in Carnival right now. We’re going to try Celebrity and Holland America to see if it’s really “next level”. Then I’ll be giving MSC another shot on their new ship World America ship next year.
Let's begin with your narrative that it's in another level😅 Yes,no way I can hear anything you are saying because ur boring background music makes your voice muffled 😂 Then let's talk about the video here versus the one u just posted 14hrs ago for the same ship....in this video u pretty much rip MSC a new one! Now(14hrs) ago u posted another video saying that MSC is the most magnificent ship ever😅 Well....Let's agree to disagree...Did MSC reach out to you and grease ($$) your hand for you to change the review? There ..That is what I had say about ur 6k views video 😅
Since you’re commenting on my “miss” list it’s probably why everything was negative. Lol! The other video was the “Hits” list and why I was sharing all of the positives. The MSC Seashore is a beautiful ship which I’m pretty sure I mentioned on both videos. Hope this clears up your confusion. Happy Cruising!
Damn, could you be any more of an @ss? There are two videos, which she clearly says in this very one! This is the misses, and there is another "hits" video. Pay attention if you're going to be a snide @ss.
I never get why people try to get off early ... we always wait and go to the buffet when there is like 30 min left. and just get some food and literally eat as slow as possible and just hang out there. This is our first time on MSC though, so not sure how it will be. All i know is that we are not leaving at 7 ... my husband won't wake up at 7
When you walk off your own luggage, that is the first disembarkation group. We used to find it extremely efficient as most people didn’t opt for that option. We will definitely rethink for next time. Also the room stewards can be relentless constantly knocking on your door to remind you you’re past the deadline.
