That's because the way Price sees soap is how Macmillan sees Price Almost like a Son they way Price treated soap was the way Macmillan did price, he Saved soap numerous time and he finally learned to trust soap and let him Kill Zakheav knowing he could have faith soap would manage to kill him seeing he failed before but the stakes are higher that time

Dude, sadly they took out a lot of great characters from the og. I hope at least yuri and sandman appeared on the next MW. Their deserve to get a second chance and alternate ending in the reboot since in the original their sacrifice plays a huge part.

@@TheFunnyDictatorThe two snipers wearing ghillie suits in COD 4's most famous mission: All Ghillied Up, which also had a continuity in the following mission One Shot One Kill. Both being very famous and beloved by the community.
@@TheFunnyDictator It's one of the few missions where you sneak through armies of enemies in ghillie suits. And the fact you only have one teammate who's death ends the game, the stakes are high. And the diversity the missions have, the different ways to kill an enemy is refreshing.

Also, in MW 2019's Ghost, he mentions something similar to that when he executes a player in online, one of those voice line quips when he says: 'That's for my mates at Hereford'.
He was also mentioned within the cutscene after this mission when general mentions “it’s a hard pill to swallow” likely talking abt Mac’s death within this universe cus Price gets emotional abt it
In the og timeline, Macmillan never died, where does it say Macmillan dies in the new one? I played the campaign but never noticed it, just for some reference
@@lilsnow7809 he didn’t die in the og universe but in this 1 it’s very likely cus after the sniping mission Cap and Gaz try to save Laswell and she gets captured and Price is negotiating w Shepherd that they should go save her but he informs Price by saying that “I know that this happened on your mission, and that’s a hard pill to swallow” and then we c Price get a lil sensitive abt that information cus Shepherd is referring to the fact that he must leave her behind which has likely had to happen in this universe’s version of All Ghillied Up cus in the og universe Macmillan gets crippled from the the helicopter crash and Price is given the choice of leaving him behind or carrying him to safety which is what we did in the og universe but likely smth led to that decision being disregarded within this 1
Pretty much a dead giveaway when Price mentions to Baseplate that he still owes him from Pripyat. Price and MacMillan were the only operators in Pripyat.
Mac was also mentioned in MW (2019) when Zakaev was mentioned. Price says “I almost buried him in Pripyat with MacMillain.” Edit: I thought it wasn’t in the vid. I must’ve accidentally skipped. Whoops.
This is where my theory was wrong cause he mentions MacMillan when they were in Pripyat and thinking its a same timeline but different Price and the 141 Operators
Why do people always think they are the same ? Call of Duty 1 and 2 Captain Price is the grandfather of the original Modern Warfare Trilogy Captain Price. The original Mordern Warfare Captain Price's name is John, while his Grandfather's first name is unknown. WW2 Captain Price died at October 27, 1944, while original Modern Warfare Captain Price is still alive. I don't know about the Reboot Captain Price's backstory, but it might share some similarities, but with a few differences since the Reboot Price is younger than the original MW Price.

McMillan sounds a whole lot like mactavish. On the mission all ghillied up if you take out the 2 guards dumping bodies he will say good night Exactly the same as soap when you kill the 2 guards on the roof of gorrdam
@@johnleonard9102 yup. Money talks. In the last four years the only cod that didint sell was the one that didint have modern warfare or black ops in the title. Thats probably all were ever gonna see from now on.
Mac Millan is top notch legend i am so sad he don´t get bigger role he would send whole price squad home in plastic bags if there was beef for me its 1. Mac Millan 2. Ghost 3. Jackson 4. Soap. 5. Price 6. Roach 7. Vasquez
man why do all the silent protagonists of COD die... rest in peace jackson and roach. for roach it was a shamefully quick and unexpected death, for jackson a painfully slow one.
@@00wynters did you like the reboot storyline? Personally I prefer the OG because along with the main group of characters you also always had a “side” main characters such as the US Marine campaign, or the US Army campaign throughout the COD’s while in the reboot to me it just felt too much like some Marvel Universe type “superhero” main characters, kinda out me off from the game
This is such a better video than all the "Ghost being a badass for 10min" nonsense. You did a good job tying in this otherwise obscure character into Price's lore. Thank you for that.
No, that belongs to Macmillan. The man is the reason Price became who he is. He’s the one that started when Price didnt become captain yet and Macmillan was the one taking charge. In the end, Macmillan is promoted and Price became the new captain in his stead.
@@merimkastrat5846Very true. Why all people mistaken two characters of the same name (Captain Price from WWII Games and Captain John Price from MW). True that they look exactly the same, but there is a big timeline difference (and even Infinity Ward (well, more specifically one of them, I forgot his name, sorry) said that Captain Price (WWII Games) is a grandfather of Captain John Price from original MW).

Macmillan: You’re on everyone’s shit-list, John. There’s no way I could get you clearance. John Price: Don’t give me that! You still owe me for Prypiat. And I’m calling it in. Best dialogue exchange ever 1:09
Macmillan and price , the 2 road dogs. Please ice could kill the president, Macmillan would be like now hold on you not touching my son. If he killed someone the bad outweighed the good they were doing. While John was promoted from lieutenant to captain, Mac was promoted from Captain to Major General did you guys knew Mac was a general now by 2016 did you guys1
I really do hope that those playing the "remasters" and these pathetic retconning "reboots" feel shit for getting the sloppy seconds of the best generation of FPS. You get the politically correct, censored version where you have to agree to respect everyone's pronouns as you boot up the game and they have pulled all the punches. It doesn't even look the same so you don't get to enjoy the aesthetic of those great games either. You paid good money to try and live our glory days and what you got was lukewarm. We had it good and we knew it, it's only sad it didn't last.
If the next Black Ops is about the Gulf War it would be interesting if we got to see Price and Mac active in the field together again. Just like old times.
@@saifqutaiba781 you’re so dumb. Imran Zakhaev was literally in Black Ops Cold War and the BO games are canon to the MW games. Also Ravenov from BOCW zombies is in MWIII zombies and zombies is actually canon to the story of the game. Literally same universe.
