All the Wolfgang pickups seem to absolutely rip. Idk what kinda special sauce DiMarzio puts into the Wolfgang pups but they are are incredibly versatile and vocal sounding for leads

@gdawgs101 DiMarzio used to make pickups for EVH Music Man guitars back in the day, but not currently. After EVH moved to Fender they've been producing everything, including the pickups.

Nice review. The colour on this one is interesting, looks a bit more like a cherry burst than a tobacco? I had the chance to play the stealth at our local guitar shop and will definitely look to pick one up but going to hold out for a purple quilt. Here's also hoping EVH drop a US version or higher end build as well in the near future. The MIM is not cheap by any means but I did think the neck could have been finished a touch better when I played it.

If you care…only consumers and fans call it the Frankenstrat, slang that has become mistaken as the name. Ed’s guitar is and was “Frankenstein”.

When I look at that guitar I see a jazz or blues guitar. It doesnt scream rock or metal. Dont like it.

Wolfie played the original 126 at Taylor Hawkin's tribute concert. The Hot for Teacher solo was amazing. He looked every bit the part of a rock god guitarist. I thought the guitar was a natural part of that look. Can't wait to get one!

I played one yesterday and it felt TERRIBLE, such a cheap feeling and looking guitar, also the pickups were trash.

@@rubenreza They sounded super dry, no true characteristics to them. Even with gain, they weren’t that good. Maybe it’s because I have ears geared more towards a traditional sound like a Les Paul, 335, strat, etc, but it just wasn’t really a good guitar. A shame that thing was like $1700. It looked cheap and felt cheap. Almost all guitar companies new and old and putting out HORRIBLE quality stuff nowadays. Although there are a few still making good stuff.
