i blame the staging. her movement came across pretty stiff and awkward in the broadcast. the dancing she does in the music video fits the song a lot better, but obviosuly can't do that when stuck on a 3 meter pole.
This was one of my favorite songs, it's so catchy, but it's a shame her live performance ended up like this :( Especially the "grande France" high note, she was so sharp, she must not have been able to hear herself properly. Maybe it was an earpiece issue. I think that moment made her fall a few spots.

Dans le concours, La Zarra était discrètement attachée par un harnais de sécurité relié à la barre verticale. Elle n'était plus libre de ses mouvements ni de sa respiration. De ce fait, la prestation ne pouvait qu'être beaucoup trop statique et manquer de souffle. De toute façon, était-il nécessaire de prévoir cette machinerie qui n'avait de véritable impact que dans la salle ? les télé-votants et le jury n'étant que devant leurs écrans. De toute façon, était-il nécessaire d'amener La Zarra, juchée sur un plateau, comme on le ferait d'un animal de cirque dans sa cage. De toute façon, l'utilisation qui a été faite du plateau ascensionnel, n'a absolument pas permis à la fin de la chanson de bénéficier de l'augmentation d'intensité qu'elle aurait du avoir. Si la "Grande Robe" avait été gardée pour la fin, La Zarra n'aurait pas eu besoin, pendant la majeure partie de la chanson, d'être attachée. Elle aurait pu évoluer librement. La montée, ainsi réservée au seul final, en aurait accru l'effet. C'est à la production que j'en veux, d'avoir mis La Zarra dans cette situation intenable, alors que j'avais tellement aimé sa gestuelle du premier clip vidéo, avec ses déhanchements et son jeu d'épaules, ainsi que ses attitudes de prise de possession du micro. Il n’y avait pas grand-chose à faire pour transposer cette mise en scène, très efficace, à l’Eurovision. En reproduisant sur un très grand écran, en fond de scène, la même vidéo que celle destinée aux téléspectateurs, on pouvait offrir à la salle, le même sentiment intimiste. La solitude de La Zarra sur la grande scène, collant magnifiquement avec la chanson, n’avait surtout pas besoin de ce barnum de cirque !

@@natalijasabic8940 Merci de préciser votre idée (la traduction de votre commentaire est incertaine). Je pense que La Zarra avait d'énormes qualités pour gagner et que la mise en scène a déshumanisé sa chanson et bridé ses performances vocales et gestuelles.
La géopolitique de la chanson a frappé comme d habitude... la France n a pratiquement pas une chance de gagner... quel que soit la qualité de la prestation !

@@laprincesse38 oui en 2021... ça faisait combien de temps que cela n était pas arrivé, être seulement second ? 30 ans, 30 ans.. il y a de quoi rigoler jaune ! Sur les 25 dernières années, les pays de l ouest ont gagné 4 fois, pendant ce temps le bloc scandinave avec la Suède, super puissance de l eurovision s est gavée avec 4 victoires tout comme l Ukraine du bloc d Europe de l est a triomphé 3 fois ! Et les places de luxe sont légion pour ces pays... seule l Italie, à l ouest a des résultats honorables depuis son retour dans le concours... la France a obtenu une seule fois, dans le même temps une place sur le podium !! A méditer sur notre participation !

I'm french and I hate this song ... the problem is that we don't have a say about how our candidate is selected. The thing is that the French channel owning the broadcasting rights of Eurovision is directed by a bunch of old farts who make an internal selection based on how "parisian" the song sounds. Not only this isn't representative of French music, but when they tried to organize a selection show like other countries do, they forbade candidates to sing more than 30% of their song in English and subsenquently cancelled the selection show after Bilal Hassani was chosen in 2019 - alledgedly because he was gay and they didn't like it
