@@Steven-x9b6h in the school of Hard Knox. Not only is the double negative grammatically incorrect and equal to a positive, but just about every rule for sentence structure has been violated. The coordinating conjunction, "or" is over used, and misused in one location where a comma is used to indicate a separation of words with a soft pause to give continuity.
What an incredible human being. Man I wish he was still here. Wish he didn’t die so young. He had so much to give. There’s just no one like him. I was holding back tears watching this because I miss him but also because he’s just so different and entertained like no has ever done with Kung Fu on the big screen. There’s just something so unique and special about Bruce Lee his style is the most incredible of all fighters I’ve watched. It’s the most coolest and badass style of fight. His speed and abilities are like no other. His outfits, his personality, his energy, his weapons everything he did and was is so awesome and iconic. He truly is one of a kind.
Bruce Lee is definitely a legend and an inspiration for me to start martial arts. There are many great martial artists. Most who never claim to be the best. It's not about being the best. It's about being the best you can be. In doing so, you gain self confidence and humility and know you are capable of defending yourself. Real fights are fluid and changing and forms rarely allow for this. Gene LeBell is awesome and rarely talked about as a martial artist. He is definitely capable. Ed Parker was very good along with Tino Tuiolosega who started Lima Lama. So many great martial artists. Had Bruce not been a movie star would he have been as great? Hard to say and unimportant. He strived to be the best he could. That is what all of us should strive for.
When I was a kid I imagined I was Bruce Lee when I was in tournaments. With this mental attitude, I won the club judo championships, area judo championships, national Masters championships and World Masters Judo Championships. Thanks to Bruce Lee.
Thank you for this outstanding short form documentary on the life of Bruce Lee notwithstanding the repeated characterizations of him as "superhuman" which you (thankfully) put to rest at the end. I have a more complete understanding of not only his professional drive and motivation, but also a glimpse of his encounters with some of his contemporaries.
I was so inspired watching Bruce Lee movies as a kid --- and then grew into a young adult watching Brandon Lee become a star --- so sad how both men taken from us too early!
Half a century has passed since I watched "Enter the Dragon" as a kid. I have watched many more martial arts movies since then, some of which are really well made, but none could erase the memories of the "Dragon." Bruce Lee set the bar so high that others are still trying to catch up, and perhaps will continue to do so forever. He was truly superhuman.
@@odenirongiant that was a rumor that many people have spoken out against. Quentin Tarantino is an asshole and not someone you should revere or listen to.
@@odenirongiant agreed to the fullest i am 42 knew a sensei who actually trained with bruce lee gowing up..in end it was all hollywoods cameras and magic that made him to what we seen... in end the only thing he really did in his life was created a style of martial arts called jeet kun do
Despite all of his physicality, he couldn't escape the grim reaper at age 32 from cerebral edema due to low sodium in the blood possibly from over hydration with water and no electrolyte supplementation. (hyponatremia) . He also had Equagesic in his system which exacerbated things. That drug was eventually discontinued in the US and the UK due to side effects. His kidneys could not adequately remove the excess water from the body. We all succumb to something. Mortality is in existential reality. I'm just glad he accomplished so much in a short period of time. He left an outstanding legacy even though we were wanting for more.
Enter the Dragon...the greatest martial arts movie ever...with the greatest martial artist ever...the iconic Bruce Lee...fast, supple n handsome! We will be talking abt him 50 yrs from now❤❤❤
I remember watching Bruce Lee in the Green Hornet episodes before he became an international superstar. This was during the 1960’s. He was known as Kato in the Green Hornet.
He could make himself the most incredible fighter due to his super -fantastic character, that is, his super -fantastic attitudes and philosophies inherent in those attitudes. After all, Shakespeare did not make a character of his plays say "character is destiny" for nothing.
In younger days I had more muscular definition, a bit more muscle and, at the most, a fraction of his skill,🤐 RIP fella. UTMOST respect to a genuine legend.
They say Bruce was so fast that a movie director had to tell him to slow down because the camera couldn't catch up to his speed, don't know what that mean but, that was probably the first glitch on film ever. Also, I've seen an old video of Bruce in the 80's where electric sparks were shooting through these small open blocks, and Bruce had to throw his hand in as fast as possible before the sparks would shock him, and the sparks miss every time.
Idk about the spark thing, never seen that! But I believe it! And yes! I recall, (not verified!) that Bruce was asked to "slow down" so it would look better on filming. Old cinema was like 60fps!? So don't quoate me there either. You throw a kick or a punch in 1/2 a second, it'll look fake on old cameras. I heard this same thing 30+ yrs ago as a little kid. So I believe this. Easily captured today, with fps
Bruce Lee amazing! Annnnd, I believe the story surrounding why he died, and why Brandon (his son died). Not accidents. As a kid, The Crow, was AMAZING! As I grew up, i wanted to know more about Brandon, and then learned of his dad, Bruce. Idk how much is speculation. You don't piss those people off though! Ass bad ace as you are, they're many! And they don't just come for you.
Bruce was a close friend of mine. I grew up with him. In fact it was me who got him into Film. WE trained together and even when Bruce had his own academy i was there side by side. I met all the stars, coburn, Chuck Norris, Kareem Abdul Jabar.. the lot. Bruce wanted me to come forward and get more into the limelight but i told him, i said Bru.. (that's what his close friends and family called him) i don't want to be famous, i am here only for the love. And he said ok. Bruce was humble and so kind, helped anyone. Loved to joke and play pranks, bit when it came to martial arts he was very very serious. I have many old photos and film footage of us together but i vowed never to share them. Bruce achieved so much in so little time. I am so proud of him, but more proud that he was my friend. RIP Bruce, there will never be another. Gone but not forgotten.
Jackie Chan says on a video Bruce Lee was like a cartoon character His moves were just insane And Jackie Chan is not someone to mess with Chuck Norris talked shit about him because he's not here to defend himself Doesn't look like Chuck Norris has ever had a real fight in his life have you seen the shitty joke fights to become world champ 😂 He was training Chuck Norris
Ali picked alot his fights he refused to fight Bartley Gorman related to Fury fact . Hand picked American fighters do this alot avoid best or only fight them when they at worse like war delay otherwise lol if rules were adhered to or street Henry Cooper beat him kod but they cheated delayed glove trick facts
Bruce Lee was no doubt the Michael Jordan of Martial Arts/Kung Fu. They both had absolute determination, off the wall athleticism, masters of their skills, and put style in every fight scene. For example his sound effects , eye movements, even his clothing. Always so graceful just like the 🐐 MJ who had the best sneakers, the 😝 hanging out before or while he dunked. Still till this day no1 comes close to the way he flew in those dunk contests. Bruce & Mike brought perfection using Mind, body, and soul in all their legendary scenes on and off the screen/court. 2 icons and guys who should be studied if you want to become a disciplined student of both art forms which can also be used in all obstacles in life.
Thank you for posting this video 🎉. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work 🎉. He will forever be a Legend. He changed the sport of Marshal Arts 🥋.
Bruce had something in common with another guy named Bruce ( though he's fictional): Bruce Wayne. I think Wayne excise about the same amount of time as Lee
Rarely born natural ever.. Hard work and dedication always gets mistaken for talent. Talent is an offspring of hard work. Football players, fighters,, guitarists, drummers, runners etc.. always get mistaken for "Natural Talent" it's very insulting...
50 years later the world is still talking about Bruce Lee when the term "martial arts" come in play. 50 from now, the world will still be talking about him. You can't say the same for any of today's MMA guys. Only a few exceptional boxers like Ali could be held in the same regards as Bruce Lee by the world.
@@hellohandsome9875 Does he have a street fight record? Don't all of the slobbering fan boys say he was the greatest fighter? Seems to be a strange title for someone who has never fought.
Read a journal about Bruce Lee... Mother was working as an actor and he went through tonnes of hardships for getting bread butter ... He was no show off .. that's my say.. he only expressed himself.. may his soul rest in peace❤❤
Bruce was my idle. I took taekwondo karate 50 years ago. I only made it to orange belt, but the impact has stayed with me for my whole life because of the discipline that the Koreans taught on me.
All of my teenage years were altered and impacted by Bruce Lees existence and movies. Jeet Kune Do, WIng Chun, Muay Thai, and my favorite Shaolin Kung Fu. All because of Bruce.
he was just absolutely unbelievable!those two finger push ups were just absolutely unreal.he really was superhuman!that fight against Chuck Norris is just legendary.the big boss is just a fantastic film.six kicks in one second.i don't even know where to begin with that!
you forgot to mention bruce's philosophy. as with every chinese martial arts, it has to balance with the philosophy, mind balancing the body and vice versa
He was apses with gaining weight .. he unfortunately struggled with that .. he wanted a stronger body but on the flip side .. his strength made up for that .. he was incredible
Bruce Lee was actually a very small, and quite skinny, especially for most of his life before he started weight training. His strengths were high coordination and extreme speed. In movies they can always shoot with a low camera position making his stance more impressive.
Yes a true martial artist, a legend of his short time. I felt a strong connection to Bruce. As if we were identical twins? My question is this, What happened to his daughter? Thank you for allowing me to speak my thoughts.🦋
He was so many years before the time!!! He was speaking about MMA back then!!! Very rear people, or nobody didn’t understand what he was trying to say… He will be seated in first line watching UFC fights today, if he stays alive!!! Legend!!! He will never be forgotten!!!
Thanks for the information regarding his sweat glands, I have never heard of that before, it sounds like a very foolish thing to do, I had always wondered how a man so fit and healthy could die so suddenly and so young.
Bruce Lee was truly inspiring and if I had to live my life like one person it would be Bruce Lee. His philosophy on life was beautiful. she is the goat of martial arts. They will never be another person like him.
Bruce would kick the crap out of Ali especially if Bruce was using all his fighting skills. But even in a boxing match I still believe Bruce would be victorious over Ali. Simply because Bruce was just too fast throwing punches as well as reacting to anything that was thrown at Bruce. Honestly don’t believe Ali could ever even hit Bruce no matter how hard he tried to? With all this said though, I did notice when Ali fought he did snap his punches like a martial artist and his footwork was very much like a martial artist. Whether or not Bruce picked up his footwork from Ali or not? Both their footwork is similar. Actually one of the reasons Ali was always my favorite boxer to watch to this day over all other boxers! Ali was simply amazing in the ring with his boxing skills. Actually would of loved to see Ali study Jeet Kun Do cause I do believe Ali would of been a great martial artist as well with a teacher like Bruce to teach him! Regardless, I would of liked to see Ali and Bruce fight in a friendly competition!
I don't think he could beat Mohammad Ali. Being one of the best boxers in history and the difference in size Bruce Lee could not have beaten him in a boxing match. Take the gloves off and take all rules away and then Bruce would have won . just my humble opinion being a giant fan of them both.
Simple common sense: In a Boxing match Ali would win. In a martial arts fight, Bruce would Win. They were BOTH THE GREATEST in their respective fighting art only.
Uhh, what actually happened is that they would slow down the cameras so that when they played them back at normal speed (24 FPS) it would make everyone look faster. They did that on every Bruce Lee film and many others as well. It has nothing to do with the cameras not being able to pick up Bruce's speed, that part is mythological.
@@customerservice3977 definately remember reading or was in a doco the director needed just Bruce to slow his punches, not kicks. He would extend a punch and return and couldn't see all all. No doubt what you said too is true.
GrandSifu Dan Inosanto taught Bruce how to the nunchucks as well as Kali Sticks the duel sticks without the chain he used in Enter The Dragon 🐉. They are Filipino arnist system
Thank you Bruce lee. Because of GOD & you I was able to endure a sucker-punch to the face. It literally broke my jaw, knocked out my “front tooth” & tore my upper lip half. I beat the guy after he did all of that. I attribute my toughness to watching & idolizing you as a kid. Unfortunately, I had to undergo a 5 level cervical fusion surgery 8 months after the incident I had to undergo the surgery or be suffer some type of paralysis. Thank You GOD & Bruce Lee
I was first made acquainted with Bruce Lee through the 60s tv serial "The Green Hornet." The weekly program featured a handsome Lee who played the role of Kato, a chauffeur/body guard for his employer. I was only 10 years and smitten. Seven years later i went to the movies with my family to see "Enter the Dragon" and there he was though i made no connection between this martial arts star and the 60s tv character.
Bruce Lee’s workout routine in a way reminds me of Nolan Ryan. During Ryan’s career there was the belief that weight training would bind up a pitcher, but Ryan figured out if you do weights properly you can improve your strength and endurance without loosing your flexibility. No telling how great Bruce Lee’s career would have been had he lived longer, especially when you consider that in 27 seasons of pitching Nolan Ryan’s final 5 seasons were among the best seasons of his career.
Bruce Lee already knew Kung Fu when he was a little boy. I believed the prejudice he received in America 🇺🇸 motivated him to become the greatest martial artist in the history of mankind. No one trained like Bruce so no one can really beat Bruce in my opinion. Bruce was a student of martial art, a writer, philosopher, teacher, trainer, hard worker, & became the master of martial art. “Teach a child in a way that he should go, he will not turn from it when he grow old” We all missed Bruce & if I learn anything from Bruce, it will be his hard work of training, a life time of learning & pursuit & dedication to his trade. This principle can apply to all areas of life regardless of what it is.
@@tokyocraze i can't remember his name. It wasn't a real fight competition. But I watched the documentary. Bruce Lee tried punching him on 3 separate occasions and he blocked them all. Even Bruce Lee said to him, "you are fast"
Heatstroke could be more plausible cause of his cerebral edema especially if he suffered from it months before and no underarms sweat glands. Again…death it could have been avoided if the woman in question wasn’t guilty enough to call an AMBULANCE TO DELAY TREATMENT.
He was truly the greatest martial artist of all times and he was my ensay or karate instructor and I used to be a boxer and I put the two together and called it Chinese boxing and I excelled in it to the point that I was invincible
Haha Vic Moore & Chuck Norris are friends...Vic didn't block Bruce's punches nor did Chuck win the secret spa he had with Bruce. I hate whether you are black or white from America thinking you can say BS like that...just because he is dead. I know with ALL my Heart & soul, they wont say anything like that in his face. (So Gutless!!!)
Boxing and tar Keon do and wrestling and playing football together is the reason I excelled when I engaged in fighting or doing any physical sport and that’s what made me successful at any sports I participated in
When i was 5 years old during 1973 .I had opportunitie to see Bruce Lee picture Big poster on the Street wall,Hence then i had wish to have the same hairstyle and request the hairsloonist cut like that he never gave same finish insted he cut too short. Two years i requested he never gave the same style, every cut i used o cry at home looking mirror.1976 i got opportunity to see the movie Enter Dragon..I got connected with him from 1973 and joined Karate .I missed him a lot like others.I Love you Bruce Lee.
i'm sorry but Bruce Lee and Chuck they had a real sparring match and What happened was Bruce Lee knocked out Chuck in 20 seconds The Story is from grandmaster William Chong. if you don't think Bruce Lee was The was a real Fighter tjek out James demile Joe Lewis dan inasanto Love you all KH Mik Roy from Denmark
Pure mystique. He was a master of body control, exhibition, and showmanship. Not actual combat. Bruce Lee only competed in one official fight. In spite of his reputation as a highly skilled martial artist, Lee was not known for being a professional fighter.
Bruce Lee literally is the Legend of Martial Art. No matter how much you try to debate. He is one of the Super Hero and the Fastest Fighter in all times.
