I love that evangelical tactic of saying, "oh, that argument is decades old, he's not up to date with the latest scholarship". Of course, what is omitted, is that said scholarship is decades of evangelicals publishing BS in their evangelical bubble.

"The Messiah, the son of the blessed one" in Mark 14:61 is just the Messiah of the line of David, not the son of God/YHWH, except inasmuch as that term is applied to kings. It does not signify divinity. The reference to Daniel 7:13 is explained by the later interpretation in Daniel 7:22 and 7:27 that the "one like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven" refers to the "saints of the most high" of which Jesus was the representative or possibly leader. But not divine. Did Jesus consider himself the Messiah, and a representative of the true saints of God? It seems to be a definite and strong possibility. But did he consider himself divine? Almost surely not. His followers later wanted him to be divine for theologically motivated reasons.
The triune God, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) is seen from the beginning of Genesis all the way through to Revelation in every book of the Bible. To deny that is to deny scripture in totality

@@masada2828 there are MANY. "For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world." (Notice He came from heaven) Then proceed to John 1. Those are only two. Jesus is all through scripture from Genesis to Revelation. And if the Holy Spirit isn't a person, as Jesus said, how do you suppose God's Spirit is hovering above the waters in Genesis 1? Is God's spirit separate from God? And when Yah says, Let US make man in OUR image, what do you suppose that means? Why the plural? Who was Yah speaking to?
Jesus turned that question around and asked "Who do the People say that I am ?" This should lead us to a discussion about the Priesthood and the Laity. The Priest as a Shaman Medium figure is God, in a theatrical playwright that Shakespeare and Alfred Hitchcock would understand. The relationship defines the realism, what is true for one side of the passion must be true on the other side equally so. Jesus is God, because realism works only when the observer agrees to what the matter observed is implying. It is like the idea of the "Spooky Entanglement" of Quantum Physics where the mere presence of the observer who is an intelligent actor, changes the behavior of a stream of quanta particles, proven so in the famous "Double Slit Experiments". When a mere observer who is alive observes the experiment, the stream of quanta particles moves as "particles' , but when no one is watching they moves as waves. So the determinant of the existence of the quantum particles is the observer, not any other force. So , when Jesus went into towns and cities where they had no faith in him, and there was no expectation of him doing any miracles few if any , ever arose. So the "Title" of "GOD" depends on witnesses willing to observe and praise the deeds done, So in the same Universe, a man could be totally without God, based on a Placebo of him being the Observer , and if the man has Faith, then God exists as "EMANUEL GOD" with the man, in a relationship as strange and spooky as Einstein described Quantum Particle Physics. . It is like saying "It takes two to Tango". God is not God without the People of God in response to any event. The same event to a Godless People is called CHAOS THEORY, but if the observers of the events believe God, then the Events are truly done by God, adjudicated by the reason of the mystery involved when an OBSERVER is witnessing the deeds. Science knows this is a fact, it cannot be dismissed as hyperbole. Jesus is God based on the presence of the witnesses having a real say about what constitutes reality. 3=1

Extra Biblical sources should NOT be given more credence than Biblical. Extra Biblical should be referenced not held in esteem as Biblical eg book of enoch. The people I know who went to Princeton seminary literally had a crisis of faith some lost their fervor for Christ but their faith in Christ was wounded and talk like this person some became literal agnostics. You couldn't have found a biblical source that says that? EG Acts 10:42 &17: 31; 2 Cor 5:10, John 5:22, 27,30, Romans 2:16, Rev 19:11. You lose credence about where your faith is when you use heresiacal books to prove a point. Evans uses too many heresy educated theologians and none biblical literature to prove his points which can then be concluded as heresy itself. Who quotes the Psalm 146 as "blah blah..."? Really? 28:17. Are these senior moments? He doesn't know how to quote actual scripture because his brain is puffed up with non-biblical quotes...there is no room for actual Bible verses in his brain. His debate response at HBU with tibia singer was a total disaster/ disappointment as well. Begins again by citing a extra-biblical source...singer shows that debate as a triumph (singer's). You’re absolutely right, I’ve been reading Dr. Evans work as of late and I’ve never been more sure that god doesn’t exist! None of these religious figures agree on their own god, and I’m supposed to believe who they are talking about exists?
