Tragedy longs for but does not require explanation to be affective. Are tragedies ‘earned’ in life or do they come as a shocking surprise with motives never adequately satisfying? Good movie.
@@damien9760 As I understand it now after reading some comments: A few times in the film it's mentioned deer will not attack unless they feel threatened in their environment or their offspring is threatened. The end scene where the little girl encounters the two deer, the older of them shot, implies that the girl will be attacked by the shot deer (so it's a flashback). The father and the other guy find the hurt daughter and the father snaps. Both his daughter and his environment are being threatened and therefore he attacks what is closest to him; the guy from the glamping company; he tries to choke him. I don't consider myself a stupid or ignorant person, even though I often have to look up references in films. But still, I'm not sure if this is the correct reading. If there even is a correct reading of the events in the film.
