I can agree, often some relationships can be incredibly damaging to one side of the deal while the other just gains from it without giving anything up. And often it’s hard to watch because even though you know that this is in an anime, the fact that this happens in real life is a stone cold slap in the face by reality, that this stuff happens in real life. And for me even though I’ve never been in that position in my life, it cruel and hard to watch

That’s what I’ve been saying to people! People are mad at the MC which is definitely understandable. But this is real life stuff. He is a guy who dated a girl that was out of his league. and He loved his EX more then she loved him, she broke up with him, which left him Depressed/ zero confidence/ low self esteem. This is a good story to show how someone can learn to overcome difficult obstacles like these, learn to gain confidence in your self , know your self worth, love your self ...Real life issues. It’s frustrating BUT REAL

yeah i get what you're saying but i think it's easier to say that then actually get it done. as you can see mami was saying that that was their usual group dynamic i. e. poking fun at kazuya was the norm. although they did feel uncomfortable and were trying to intervene with this new person on board, it was hard for them to just step in right away

Normal friends recognize boundaries. If these people were normal friends, they would have been able to stop her. But the fact that they didn't, means that they do this normally, and that's just wrong.

To be fair, dark haired guy whose name I can't remember did try to calm things down. Within the context of a society that often tries to avoid conflict, he at least seemed to be trying to stop things before they got worse without creating any additional conflict between himself and the involved parties. As far as it being their usual group dynamic, you can tell she's not being entirely truthful about that by everyone else's reactions. While it is true that his 2 guy friends have teased him about his lack of experience, they haven't seemed to have done so in a mean spirited way, and probably wouldn't in front of girls in case their own lack of experience might be brought out.

For example If I was walking behind a group of people one of who had an open back pack and I would tell him to close it before his shoo polish would fall out and he would then say that he needed to repay my good deed an atempt to polish by sports shoos at a discount before I could decline even if I where to pay them off with only 15 euros I would feel far more cheated than if he had just robed me with a gun for 100 euros. From the way this scene went, it’s clear this isn’t the first time Mami has degraded him like this; it just seems to be the first time she’s done so in public. Poor Kazuya just figured he could defuse the tension by agreeing with her and just moving on. It’s really depressing.
