What a brilliant review, and what an awesome ride that was. 🙌🏼 As a newbie to MTB, I actually found the brake noise rather helpful, as it gave me reference points each time you used them. A truly EPIC adventure you must have had, and, if I may be so bold, what an honour it was to meet such a wonderful MTB LEGEND. Happy Trails, Good Sir. 🤙🏼
Cheers buddy 👍. It was an awesome if brutal few days and the bike just made it incredible! Such a capable and confidence inspiring machine in such demanding terrain. Thanks for watching and for your feedback 👍
Oh yeah. This bike does rip. To be honest it’s not flickable as a smaller travel and shorter angle head tube bike would be. I ride in Northern California and it took me a while to get used to the geometry of this bike. It is more aligned to true downhill trails. But, with some practice it is exceptional on tighter trails. As Evil describes it, it is a bike park bike. Having owned a true DH bike, I would say that this is a bike that can handle both enduro and downhill trails. I, in fact use mine as more of a trail and enduro bike
Cheers Paul👍. I know… spring/coil/coil/spring which ever it is it’s bouncy, plush, progressive, supportive and sooooo poppy for jumping, I love it! I’ve put a link in the video description for the last trail which is called ClimachX. It’s also as a screen link at 17:16. Thanks for watching and for your feedback 👍
The brakes were noisy because of the very wet & cold conditions, so the rotors were not warming up enough + the pads were sintered! Personally, I use Uberbike Race Matrix pads which are much more powerful and silent 👌. The 27.5 is a great bike but now I’m riding a mullet set up, it’s the absolute best combination of control, speed and outright fun. Good luck and thanks so much for watching 🤜🤛
