Since it's October, it's time for an appropriate piece! I'm scheduled to sing at a fall festival next weekend, so I plan to sing this song. This is from my practice session today. Hopefully, I'll upload the actual performance piece if I can get a good video of it next week. I hope it works out, because I plan to wear an entire Maleficent costume!
This song, "Evil Like Me", is my cover from the latest Disney Channel movie, "The Descendants". In this song, the villain Maleficent is trying to convince her daughter Mal of the perks of being evil. She wants Mal to follow in her footsteps.
I won't give away the movie, but this is great character piece. The first few lines are sung by the daughter, until Maleficent takes over. Since I wasn't performing it for an audience today, I sang the daughter's lines as well.
This song was originally done by Kristen Chenoweth. I love her work. She's so versatile, and has been successful in many areas of entertainment.
