Sadly, I am not surprised by this happening. I never recommend doing business with, let alone trades with anyone but people you know VERY well anymore because there are way too many scammers out there! This is the most awful situation and I feel terrible for your friend. At this point you cannot ever give someone you don't know the benefit of the doubt because this almost always happens. It makes me sick what people like this person does! Horrible just horrible! I'm so sorry this has happened and I agree it needs to be put out there so this woman's name is everywhere for all to see! I would be swearing too!!! Thank you for sharing this with us so we are in the know.

If the baby is sealed and varnished a wet wipe will not remove any paint. Ive used them for years on all my babies and no paint was ever removed. Until someone sent me a doll that i knew nothing about.. i went to use a water wipe as usual and all the paint came right off... i was completely shocked and disgusted i threw it away i was so upset. So maybe your friend just didnt realize that the artist hadnt sealed the doll properly and thats why the paint was removed. Nevertheless it is completely wrong for that woman to threaten your friend thats going overboard!! 😮
Im so sorry, so incredibly frustrating. I don't blame you one bit for swearing. I would too. It's a very cruel thing to do, and things like this make it more difficult for everyone as far as befriending, trusting, or just doing business. Im a newer person in the community, and I've heard of a few situations like this, it really bums me out. I can't fathom doing that to anyone. Im happy you are calling her out. Hopefully, this will spread around, maybe it will stop it from happening to someone else. I hope your friend is ok. Your baby is gorgeous! 💛
It is quite scary how many scammers out there, but there are so many more wonderful reborn mums out there. My friend is relieved it's all over the baby as got back to her and everything was returned in box xxx

I've bought a few babies and all the interactions I've had have been very positive and kind; very beautiful work. I have ordered a couple of cheaper sculpts and am going to try painting!
