i have mental illness,i cant quit listening to heavy metal music.but i pray dailly through a english orthodox prayer book.i have schizophrenia but i take my pills they help to a point.please help me

But I discovered that Praying multiple Rosaries daily is a super powerful way to fight back and recover the balance evil is trying to steal from you.👊 So I pick up my War beads at intervals throughout the day, whether I feel like it or not. Once I get started the results usually motivate me to keep going. The JESUS Prayer is also very good for anchoring the distracted or racing mind.🙏🌹🌹🌹

I was doing great for the Lord. Left my old life behind. I saw a dream of warning ahead. But I did not prepare myself. Then it hit me like a sack of potatoes and now I'm stuck right back into what I thought and hoped I had left behind. Pray for me brothers and sisters. Pray I get out of this trap I've fallen back into.

Oh boy needed to hear this. The blasphemous thoughts especially during the rosary make me feel awful. I try to explain this to some of my catholic friends but feel so alone. I’m so aware like a microscope my self love and it’s truly humbling. It especially happens when I pray even when I most don’t feel like prayer but I force myself to push through the vocal prayers slowly. I’m seized with terrible words I can’t express and they feel like they are coming from me.
One nun told me that if this happens, to reject those thoughts and say loudly or in your mind: "these are not my thoughts, they shell go back where they came from". I remember doing it several times, but those kind of attacks stopped eventually.
Gina Kendrick I too have this kind of blasphemous thoughts. Sometimes it doesn’t appear in my mind when I tried to focus in my prayer especially praying the rosary. I just imagine Jesus on the cross with me the Mother of God beside me.
I also experienced this, after Holy Communion also, non stop for many many years, day and night. I could not pray rosary..the words I was hearing were awful and I thought it was coming from me. It was torture. The worst is when I want to pray directly to God and feel anxiety, what again am I going to hear. I learned to trust God, take deep breaths during swearing, and be aware that Lord knows about it. I do not fight it anymore and with God's grace attacks are fewer. Praise Lord.
God bless all of you. I have been fighting for awhile now such horrors, but recently relief has come. Just tell Jesus that you love him and don't know where these thoughts come from. You know I really thought that I was alone in this kind of struggle. Talked it over with a priest that did finally understand what I was talking about. Reach out. Jesus, I trust in you.
I’ve found that if I “play” the words I am praying in my mind, as if I am reading them as they scroll across the “screen” in my mind, it gives me something to focus on. This seems to enable me to pray better with fewer unwanted thoughts. It’s not 100% perfect but it helps a lot and gets better as you practice it. I also begin my prayers asking the Lord to make my prayers “pure” and acceptable to Him, and asking him to defend me from these thoughts.
I've started praying again after a long time and I am have been under attack ever since, nightmares are frightening, I was giving up, thanks to your video you have helped me. God bless you.

I have also had these demonic, crushing nightmares, even jumping up in bed and frightening my wife as i saw an evil presence in our room. Fear not! Pray in☦️
Hello, just want to let you know that we as christians are given authority to cast out unclean spirits. I used to suffer terrible nightmares, which would wake me up sweating. This continued on for awhile, like few months. One morning I think holy spirit whispered to me, to cast out the spirit of nightmare. So I uttered out "spirit of nightmare rebuke you in Jesus name." Then I felt tremendous weight got off inside of me and felt immediate relief. I stopped getting nightmare completely except when it comes back occasionally, then id do the same thing again. I am so glad to have found this video by chance! I was so attacked that I had given up prayer and I even lost faith. But I felt such a void that I kept praying a little to fill the void but did not pray as often as I used to. Perhaps God wanted me to watch this video to encourage me and bring my faith back!
Yes, Father. It took a very long time for me to figure this out. And even though I am aware, attacks still occur. I have become much stronger through this understanding- and my strongest prayers are at night. I have been under siege for many years, but I continue to trust my Lord. I thank you for your lovely videos and sage words.

But knowledge is the first step to practice, so - at least - we can share with each other the little that we have, in the hope that at least one of us (maybe you) will put in the effort and actually apply this knowledge. So very, very true! Know that when the dark forces begin to fight you as you pray, it is because they fear you. They fear the judgment that comes upon them through your prayers...because they know their time is short...and the more we pray, the quicker their judgment comes. Have courage, know that you are not alone. The angles are with you...and all of us who are also praying are also with you.

I, too, was facing this challenge of unclean thoughts, ect. I was so comforted knowing that this happens to so many people and is very common and is a good sign that I am becoming a stronger Christian. God is so good to have us learn this information at a time when we so much need it. All Christians are truly united into ONE. We are here to serve one another and to build each other up. But also, we are here to WORK, to put out an EFFORT, to gain our salvation. As St. Paul said, to provide that one thing that is lacking in the crucifixion of Christ for our own salvation - our own desire, choices, sacrifices, work, effort, ect. God, the Father, wants us to experience hardships and to willingly experience them and welcome them, and feel them so painfully - out of LOVE for HIM and Jesus. Please realize this time on Earth, this time is the only time, the short time of our lives, that we are able to actually feel pain and sacrifice for HIM. After we die, we will be with HIM for eternity- full of JOY and HAPPINESS and FULFILLMENT. Our time now is such a very short time - the time of our life on earth - compared to eternity in Heaven. Realizing this fact, let us gladly experience hardships and trials for HIM while we can. Let us put everything in the correct context and priority and order. For the flesh and God is against each other, raging war inside of ourselves. Let us deny the pleasures of the flesh (and pride) to gain our fellowship with Christ and His Church. It is through this fight and effort and willingness and desire to overcome evil that our salvation is gained - along with FAITH, HOPE, and LOVE and affirmation that Jesus is both God and Man and died for our sins. Minaux LeRoi I can completely relate to this. As I become more consistent with prayer, reading the Bible, and going to Church and feel closer to God, I start to get insane dreadful blasphemous thoughts, that can be overwhelming sometimes; but through Christ I always get through it. Also, if I am about to say a bad word for example, I feel the Holy Spirit alerting me, if I said it already I feel It making me aware so I ask for forgiveness. Conversely, at the times when I am far away from God, these thoughts never come. Thank you for this video, Father!

I had the worst ugly thoughts today as if another voice or conscious is trying to force me away from God and even telling me stuff as ridiculous as God doesn't exist or pushing me towards pride and wanting to know everything concerning God's unfathomable secrets. It was so tiring I had a full on migraines, but I prayed to my Jesus and delivered my struggles to him as an act of penance for my sins and sinners and asked him patience and kept repeating I believe in his power to save me. Yup. Been giving our lord my first morning time for about 3 years now and daily mass, confessions and adoration and rosary. Now I’m finding Thoughts that are so evil and I’m so amazed how difficult it can be to feel peace. Frankly they are very frightening. I bought a book on spiritual warfare prayers by father Ripperger and there for the laity book by tan publishing. Thoughts are worse than ever. This video makes me even more determined to sit at the foot of that cross and hold tight...
Thank you Jesus... I was so ashamed I thought I was the only one going through this.... I ask for prayers but was so ashamed to say for what.. thought I was blasphemy against God ,but I kept praying and trusting God... it's no mistake I came across this message to God be the glory for all he has done... now I know how to fight that spirit of darkness.
I, like many of them who commented, experienced what you say, about feeling a sensation of pride, then trying to consciously silence those thoughts, then maybe having a feeling of not being worthy of praying along with a prayer on a video, for example. Then I get frustrated about things like a priest who insist that the only way to enter into the paradise (= not going to hell when I die) is to be a part of one special branch of Christendom etc. Then I noticed that while I was praying, my thoughts were wandering away with me, and sometimes during the prayer, I also noticed that some really awful thoughts entered my mind, totally contradicting my intentions with the prayer. Last week I gave up and was thinking: "OK, I wanted to be a better person, but finally I started to feel that I am worst than before I started to pray (one to two hours in the night). I have also been thinking: "OK, I will probably be going to hell, and what can I do... I have been searching and searching for years, and for a while I feel this way is probably right, to find another way which probably is right and so on. And now when I "clicked" on this video it was like I got an answer to my "silent" prayers on a more or less subconscious level (from a "silent God", as I thought of God, many, many times). Now I can see that it is a fight and that you have to battle against those terrible thoughts of an almost blaspheming character (entering the mind in a fraction of a second, then rejected, etc.), contradicting the word of holiness coming out from your mouth. Anyway, I feel very happy that "I found" this video. I was feeling so depressed and rejected and in despair, but now after I understand the process, it, the revelation, was a great relief to me, thanks to you. If I should be absolutely honest, I have been thinking that this maybe is how the process is working, but this was the confirmation I needed to go on! Thank you for this video! /Erik
That was very interesting as a Christian in Canada I have attacks during sleep or sometimes during prayer one dream I had I fought demons in the name of yahweh and the demons where running away from me. I woke up and thanked God for a fun butt kicking. I knew at that moment as we sleep we battle in the spiritual, now I understand what spiritual battle means that is why prayer in the name of Jesus is so powerful, its getting darker in the physical as well here in Canada with a goof ball for a prime minister.
Thank you for your wise words Father, I’ve always had a problem with judging and criticising people due to my own insecurities. Being attacked on the daily every morning with unpleasant and sick thoughts makes it really hard to be functional for the day and I use it as an outlet as I don’t want to have to sustain any external attacks along with the internal demonic ones. Yes this is so true I’m around so much sinful people in my office... my heart literally gets stabbed when I’m around them and when they slander about others or speak about sexual things saying porn is ok. I’ve stripped myself of it all so that my eye gates and ear gates can be opened fully to the lord... I went a fast but not the next step is doing a full dry fast for my Lord 😢 I need him so much I need that relationship with him I can not live in this world without Jesus in my life I can’t do it alone. I want to be a warrior for Christ and I’m continually getting attacked and persecuted. So much unclean spirits surrounding me I have to constantly rebuke them I do it softly and I pray about this all the time. I want to be righteous and holy so that I can bow before my lord. I have been struggling with bad thoughts when I pray...this happened when I was reciting the Divine Mercy Chaplet and praying to Our Mother Mary.... some days I can overcome it and somedays it just scares me. I was so scared and confused as to why this was happening and I continuously prayed to Jesus to deliver me from these thoughts. The last two days it was just bad and I cried to Jesus for understanding. And today morning as soon as I got up, your video popped up in my RU-vid!!! Everything you said makes so much sense to me now... it is exactly what I've been going through. And it's not even been that long since I've really gotten serious about Prayers. But it's not at all how I feel and I feel so incredibly horrible that those thoughts would even pop up in a time of prayer! I keep thinking, Omgosh, the Lord is going to disown me! I am so very glad that RU-vid chose to suggest this video for me. I have noticed awful images coming in while I pray and have been really worried about myself. Even this morning, a totally random image came in while I prayed with my son. I work with sex offenders and i have been wondering whether my anti-pornography stance thoroughly annoys the enemy. I haven't heard such explanatory wisdom in years. You are an absolute blessing.

I find that evil thoughts only materialize when I read the word of God or when I am in prayer. The way that I stop these thoughts is to immediately claimed the blood of Jesus over myself, immediately the thoughts stop and the mental images cease. The enemy will flee at the name of Jesus and the claiming of His blood over yourself is very powerful.
Wow! How God helps us and guides us! Two days ago i prayed and that prayer was the best i think ive ever done! And yesterday and today i started to feel sorrow i had doubts and felt bad and was in despare. And here as i was watching youtube i saw this video and heared the thing you said about feeling down and sorrow as we start praying right! Thank you and thank God for guiding me!

I must have watched the beginning ten times. I had not realized how much I needed to hear love in someone's voice. I guess that all of my wondering and searching for God has left me feeling so alone. I am slowly finding Him though and it is true, his grace feels like water all around me.

Thank you, Father. As usual you are Christ on earth to us. I feel as though I have been so broken down by this year. Without even my extremely infantile and limited understanding of how God uses our struggles, I would be in utter despair. I had hoped to tackle this year prayerfully but I am so exhausted mentall/emotionally/physically that all I find myself able to do is a brief morning canon (or the Supplicatory Canon to the Theotokos on a good day) and a few minutes with the Jesus Prayer. The difficulty is accepting even that as a gift from God, rather than crumbling into despondency because I'm not praying as much or as "well" as I think I ought to. Thank you again!

I would get those evil blasphemous thoughts when i would pray. I knew it was the enemy trying to distract me or interrupt my prayer. This video help me better understand why. Im going to keep resisting the enemy and keep praying. Thank you this really helped me understand what is going on.
I was struggling with this very same thing, I was utterly disgusted with the things that came in my mind everytime I prayed, I thought what would Jesus think of me, how can I ever face him again.
