I think the most long term fate worse than death is to destroy someone's body to a terrible point of no recovery and just let them go free to live that way.

The history of torture really goes to show how barbaric humans are by their very nature.

Watching every infographics video of the day before going to bed is a ritual I strictly adhere to.

Medieval Times was crazy, They had all these torture methods

I'd always heard that the Thousand Cuts was done using a fishing/trappers net too. Wrapped tight, the executioner would slice the flesh that poked through the netting, and once done the netting would be pulled away quickly leaving the blood to rush back and the remaining skin to essentially explode in a shower of blood.

Infographics be like: “This is what happens when you exercise and lose fat. Also, take a look at the worst torture methods humans came up with.”

Its crazy they even had to get to the point of torture just to give some information, I would have been giving names, locations, descriptions, and family 💀

Correction to the boiling alive thing: it is most often considered that death occurred due to a heart attack, as the body tried to circulate blood ever-faster to try to cool down.

Modernizing the gas chamber to use nitrogen asphyxiation would be a vast improvement. No suffering, no feel of suffocating, just rapid unconsciousness and then death, while also being inert and non toxic.

I'll be sure to use some of these in my next D&D session, OC trauma go brr
