She was very beautiful when she was young and seeing this makes it such a tragedy that they didn't make a movie with her and the movie they made made no sense!!!
That's why Patti LuPone did not do the film, when it was first being considered in the early '80s. She refused to do a screen test. Later, in the mid-90s, when it was being made with Madonna, Patti (who was 47) by then was much too old to play a woman who ages from 15-33. She was offered the role of Evita's mother, instead, but she turned it down, too. So it's her own fault that she was never a part of a film version EVITA.
Arrived here after seeing an interview where Patti corrects Merv Griffin when he said "Rainbow High" was featured in the commercial, saying he was confusing it for "Buenos Aires." Looks like he probably saw this version :)
