2012 Revival Cast Elena Roger (Eva Perón), Ricky Martin (Ché), Michael Cerveris (Juan Perón), Max Von Essen (Magaldi), Rachel Potter (Mistress) I did not record this video.
this solo steals the entire show..an absolute dream..though i'm actually rather lost why Rachel appeared on x factor..knowing its a dream for millions just to make it on broadway..
@@derogatony No.. It's not about that at all actually at all. I'm only lost why she chose X Factor hoping she was able to gain a strong platform through Broadway to give her a spotlight of the Broadway Stage to showcase her variety of range in voice to the World. It's an eye opener about what we're able to learn being a fan of these wonderful Actors on what they're able to achieve and what they're not including what platforms can give them a boost pursuing their dreams. Hope you're having a wonderful Holiday!
Because there's a huge amount of costume changes before Peron's Latest Flame and they need a song to get everyone offstage to do so. Insert character that we've never met and will never see again for a whole song.
Allot of the people that were on X factor were on Broadway, on a TV show at some point, or even had an album before they went on the show. I know Carly Rose was in Wonderland(Broadway musical that did not last that long), and on some tv show for little kids before she was on X factor.
I'm struggling to find a recording of this song that meets my standards. It's not that she's not good, it's just that I need a recording as close to the mistress I. The show I'm doing.
I don't get why some girls who play Evita think its necessary to have to sing in a weird, exaggerated Argentine accent. Its very common when people sing to sound completely different than when they talk. Madonna's interpretation of this role was perfect!!! Also, I really hate the original version of this musical. I don't see why it was necessary to give such a big song to a minor character. The change they made in the movie was much needed and really tied up the faults in the original stage production.
Elena Roger (the Evita here) is actually Argentinian so I wouldn't exactly say her accent is exaggerated. Madonna simply doesn't have the vocal range for the role of Eva Peron though...
