8:15-9:10 "The dead angle doesn't bait it... Gets caught low again, has to burst immediately" "Full meter though! Full meter! He's gonna(?) use, Again! Nope! No Burst!! NO BURST!!!" "So smart! So smart!" "Oh My God! GENIUS!" "So smart, he couldn't burst because of the super. ...but Woshige Thinks It's Over!" ""!@#$%^&*""(incoherent screamings) "And Ogawa Doesn't Care!" "What A !@#$! WHAT A %^&*!" "He's Took Out 65 Percent!" "OH MY GOD!! OH MY GOD!!!" "Wosshiige Nooooooooo!" "!@#$% WOSHIGE NOT LIKE THIS! WHAT ARE YOU STANDING UP FOR!?!?" "What Are You Standing Up For!?" "WHY!?!? WHY!?!?!" "Oh My God! Woshige thought it was over, and stood up, and Ogawa gave him no remorse!" "That is exactly what happens. Don't ever celebrate too early, Pah Pah! PAH PAH PAH!!" "Ohh myy god!" "Take it, *&^%$#@!"(unclear) "Unbelievable! Woshige is gonna be dreaming about that tonight."
It actually is a great game! And it has got a pretty nice tutorial for Guilty Gear beginners too, explaining all the mechanics of the game (Burst, Just Guard and its advantages, Romantic Cancels, etc.)
I like how Ogawa pans to the screen when he goes to pop off, no way he could live that down if he popped off prematurely after Woshige. Who again, I'd like to feel bad for, but he plays Millia.
Someone want to explain for those who don't play this game how he was able to do so much damage at the end there? Didn't seem like he used any meter or water 'BURST' is.
DaBeast151 About ten seconds of uninterutable damage will do that in any fighting game. Also BURST breaks a combo that your opponent is doing on you, non-factor in that.
DaBeast151 Millia's defense rating is the second highest in the game (1.22x), so she takes more damage compared to most other characters. Also, there's the Guts system. Damage taken is scaled according to the player's remaining health; the lower the health, the less damage one takes. However, Guts modifier is applied at the START of a combo, so if he takes that from full health you'll see a ton of damage.
No burst was applied. Guts scaling, as aforementioned, had a big factor since the first big combo always scales the most. Millia is one of those characters with comparatively low HP compared to the rest of the cast, probably second lowest with Chipp Zanuff being first. Ogawa also scored a Counter Hit with 2H, which means increased damage and hitstun.
So it seems like he landed a counter hit. I believe woshige was scrambling to press buttons and ended up getting counter hit in the process. Counter hits give MASSIVE damage, so yeah. And Millia cannot take any damage because she dies quickly.
Can't believe no one sees this is just bad sportsmanship. If you got confidence in your abilities it isn't hard to yell out that the game isn't over yet and give your opponent a fair chance. I'd feel bad if I won a tournament this way let alone THE biggest (fighting game) tournament there is.
Each game consists of a best 2 out of 3 rounds, EVO is 2 out of 3 games until Winners/Losers/Grand Finals (3/5 instead). Woshige must have forgotten there was still 1 more round to be played
you want them to wipe his ass too? it's the player's responsibility to finish the game, if he just stood up and walked away during the match, nobody can stop him if that was his choice.
I would say Guilty Gear since its more in-depth/ technical with the mechanics and Xrd is balance with welcoming to newcomer and pro-players. GG is more of a fun game to pick :)
the winner is cheap, hitting unprepared opponent. lolololol. he could pause the game till the opponent ready to continue the round. cheap winner is cheap.
Gigas Raid Pausing the game is a kinda risky move, since Ogawa could get an autolose for that. Unlikely, but still possible. Besides, if Ogawa wasn't so "cheap", not only would this year's EVO be boring as hell, Woshige wouldn't learn his lesson (and wouldn't get so much love from GG community). So, in a way, they both won their share.
Gigas Raid Pausing is a loss of a round in EVO rules. If he paused he would have lost the entire match. It was ENTIRELY Woshige's fault for popping off. I wouldn't have waited either. Woshige screwed up and Ogawazato capitalized on that. If you think the vast majority of fighters at EVO wouldn't have done the same shit you're delusional. There's nothing cheap about it. He screwed up and got bit for it.
LOL!!!! please EXPLAIN how that was cheap? first of all Woshige is the fool who stood up when there was one more match to win. So for example in soccer, say that the goalkeeper from the other team decided to go take a nap in the middle of the game at the world cup leaving the goal completely open, would you be waiting for that goalkeeper to come back? or win the game since the goalkeeper was stupid enough to go take a nap mid-game? so if you score a goal in an open net, that's considered "cheap" right?
I dont play fighting games but i can understand when your opponent is a fucking cheat. Have you ever heard of fair play? Its like scoring a goal in football and while the player celebrates the other team goes to their goalpost score a goal and win the game. Ever heard the word ethics or honor? That was the most cheap way to win.
I don't know this game, this is the first video about it I'm seeing... But fuck that's straight disgusting. How come Ogawa cheer and celebrate when he cowardly got the win ? Pretty disgusting to witness such a pathetic low blow.
I have never played this game but it is Woshige's fault for popping off. If someone pops off on you and the game is still going you should absolutely beat them up. This was still a very funny moment and I had a lot of laughs.
@@inkedsights4929 Ogawa celebrated back because he actually won the set and is actually very funny. If I was Ogawa and I told Woshige the game didn't end yet and lost, I would look more like a loser. Taking the win is easy and funny.

@@Nice_Boy_555 Yeah an unhonorable win. And its an e SPORT. In SPORTS there is fairness. Not cheating. Learn the difference. If your opponent is not that fucking chair you dont start the game. Thats it.
@@sotoskun861 he was on the chair but but left while the game was still going and that's on him. The opponent doesn't have to stop mid game because of that.
@@Nice_Boy_555 If he left the chair then the opponent waits. They must inform him that the match isnt over. Then when he is ready they resume the match. Its common sense. And fair play is in ALL SPORTS. Simple as that. There isnt any sports game in the world that works that way. Not one. You beat an opponent straight. Not behind his back.
@@sotoskun861 when you say "they" do you mean the TO's cause if so he knew it was still going but choose to do that. 99% of the time people don't celebrate until the set is done in the fgc.
