Didn't realize that Punk is SO young! Congrats to Tokido -- the dude is a great player, works EXTREMELY hard, and is always a class act when it comes to winning and losing...
love how video games have improved, years ago nobody really cared about games and even playing as they do now through big tournament and all that shit, big screens, big crowds etc never thought i'll be alive to see these happening...
17.35 demon finish was so much mental game from tokido. anything can kill there but he chooses the one that will hurt mentally. the sam for the 2 demon throw finishes. amazing
omare17 it wasn't that serious yo. The medium kick probably did more damage to his mindset than that lame demon. The medium kick was like a rock that randomly fell out if the air and hit hard af. Game over at that point.
when you understand how young Punk is you'll understand why he acts as he does. And when you understand his age it blows the mind about how far he went. Much props to the kid.
@@jobo2243 my comment was referring to people who were critical towards his demeanor. And sure a ton of kids participate... As for top ranking players... Different story.
Yo, a very electrifying Grand Finals; to everyone hating on Punk; I used to hate too, but the sudden show of maturity has won me over; no "hat-tricks," no t bagging (in the matches I saw) the entire Evo 2017 tournament. Punk deserved to be there, just as much as Tokido. Props to both players; both displayed amazing sportsmanship at the end. Pretty sure we'll see Punk at next Evo.
Shows you how TOUGH the SFV field is when players like Infiltration, Daigo, Snake Eye, Xian, Justin Wong, Momochi, Gamerbee, etc. don't even make it to Top 8!!!
Both players displayed amazing skill. When I watch others play (and especially myself), I see a clunky awkward game where even executing a simple fireball is a mystery to me. However when I watch these amazing masters play, I'm just struck in awe and humbled to no end. Thank you for the hype you create, and fighting games are something just so great.
Gattu why didn't all the cod4 people use the same loadouts? It's part of the games options and anyone can pick any character so it's fair. I doubt you'll see th8s though with RU-vid's new commenting mechanics killing conversation.
In the 15 years Daigo dominated fighting games, no one wanted to see him fall. Know why? Because he didn't act like a child on the sticks and he never talked shit. He's respectable player.
Man, this is Epic shit! And i can't understand why everybody is hating on sfv. For Guys who doesn't Play it at all. Its nice to watch. Capcom did a wonderful job i must say. Domo arigato!
It's because they see the spaghetti that happens in it and that makes them think it's trash, while forgetting about random damage and stun in 2, infinites in marvel and alpha, boring characters in 3, etc
Tokido is good, but I think a small problem is that the other player didn't use his headphones, he was listening to the crowd and he started to panic, he was doing good in the beginning, so yes I do believe the crowd threw him off, but all in all props to tokido
I mean cmon man. he figthing with Akuma!! His combos are vicious!! plus it takes off a lot of life. besides you to don't go against Akuma with a character with no projectile. you're asking to get stomped
I know Tokido is a beast, but let's be real, Akuma is fucking OP. His air game is unpredictable. You can lower his health all you want, but that doesn't help when he can combo his way out of a loss.
First time I have ever seen a competition match as it popped up in RU-vid home screen. Why the hell would they play on terrible joysticks on their laps when they should be playing on a real arcade machine such as a Vewlix?
Nah he was nervous nd wasnt thinking straight. Like the other guy said after that taunt, punk started playing more aggressive. Thats what tokido wanted
I agree; he obviously has the skill & the knowledge, just had trouble keeping calm, dealing with the pressure- he bounced back a couple times, but not consistently. He'll improve for sure. Best believe we haven't seen the last of him.
