That Gogeta scream sent chills down my spine. I cant even imagine being there and feeling it in person. The Cell scream is still top 1 tho. I dont think it'll ever be topped.
I just wish the actual players had emotion lol. Players at high level gaming events are typically so stone faced and down right mad looking. There’s no actual sense of ‘fun’.
@@TheSCPStudio because they're focused wtf? they just beat so many people to get to the grand finals, these tournaments start with a shit ton of players lol
The meter changes DID do a lot, you actually have to BUILD for those two dead batteries and those two have been playing that team SINCE day 1 it's more than the character pick.
@@thedon6572 well I can concede that much. The fact that everybody else was still adjusting to their new teams while they stuck to their original was also a factor.
@@thedon6572Nah. The mechanics for the blue fusions are just broken with privilege auto combos with high damage. DBZ community was already stating the meter nerf hardly gonna stop fusions because all they got to do is get a battery for them. 17 being one of the best battery makes it even more easier for them to just adjust 😅
exactly. im such a fan too. it seems like he has a bad drop in all of his huge games and he cant recover. It was clear in the first 2 games his neutral is just in his own class. if he would have brushed it off he still could have won, i know that damascus wasn't talking about the drop on purpose to not pysch out yasha and instead talking about hakari playing well haha. this was totally yashas to win. very sad.
Not to complain about EVO being an amazing tournament as it always is, but we've seen exactly half of the main games (not counting GBVSR) have mirror grand finals: Fujin vs Fujin in MK11, Roa vs Roa in MBTL, Isla/Krohnen vs Isla/Krohnen in KOFXV, and SSB Fusions/17 vs SSB Fusions/17 in DBFZ. I kind of understand that all of these characters stand in the upper echelon in their respective games, but for the love of god, I don't wanna go to day 3 and see at least 1 mirror grands, because it would be HELLA exhausting for all of us.
I stopped watching at this point. Not only we see blue fusions AGAIN, but on top of that it's a mirror match, with the same boring meta characters on both side ! 😒 We had lots of differents teams in this top 6 (Ginyu, Krilin, Freezer, Beerus and others) but the tier list just speaks for itself.
@@heyzeus4863 that’s like saying “oh if kazunoko, go1 and sonic were in their prime and playing then this tournament would’ve been different”, Wawa is retired. I said hikari is the best player not the greatest, the greatest are go1, sonic, kaz, Wawa, and fenrich
@@tearitup5864 no i can agree that those players haven’t touched the game recently, but wawa still has weekly FighterZ streeams with the current patch of the game, I’m not taking away from hikaris performance in evo 23, I’m more or less just wondering how differently the top 8 would be. and saying hikaro is the nest in the world is a stretch when wawa has won all majors in dbfz with hikari currently having 2.
@@heyzeus4863 Wawa has not won all majors currently, he has won most of the ones he was in and even then there’s been multiple since his absence. Like I said, Wawa is in the greatest category, when I’m talking about the best, I’m talking about the current best. Like I said, Wawa is retired, doing streams don’t mean a thing, he’s doing that because he has to, in order to get money. Until he returns, then we’ll talk
@@sammydray5919 I hate the format of the comments though when I click on the video, I got spoiled. Hikari really seems to have Yasha’s number. Tbh I was predicting a Kayne vs Inzem final.
I’m guessing it’s to save time. Heard there was issues last year with them going over rented venue time which cost them a lot of money. Might also be why it’s top 6 instead of top 8 this year
Eh... top 32 dbzf had almost every character in the game being played. Honestly I think this may be the only mirror match in the entire top 8 (would need to double check) If anything, this was the most diverse top 32 in all of EVO thus far, I think you're focusing too much on the GF and not the rest of the tournament
@@Druski_1 There's alot of characters just as good as these 3 used. It was honestly coincident that the GFs were mirror of these characters. The fusions got solid nerfs, and 17 has been under cover broken with his barrier and meter gain. Android 21 is arguably better, Beerus and Jiren are just as good. There's plenty of characters that got played in the tournament that are stronger or the same. Its just these two are the best players that happened to be playing these characters. Not to say their characters aren't also top tier.
as long someone who use Vegito who win Yasha or Hikari doesnt matter to me who win they both use Vegito Vegito is my only favorite character since he debut against buu (buu saga)
Most of these characters are top tier but just because their top tier doesn't mean you'll enjoy playing them test characters and see who your comfortable with
They're good characters not necessarily the best this game is pretty balanced, team composition matters just as much too this team has incredible synergy but very likely its gonna get nerfed next patch. There are also better characters for beginners. I'd recommend a team of Ssj Vegeta or Teen gohan point, Ssj Goku mid and Z Broly anchor if you're just starting out. Easier characters to learn how to play and figure the game out with while being higher tier characters that can compete with a lot of the cast eventually you want to try different characters out though and see what you like best once you've got the basics down and a better understanding of the game.
I watched the whole thing, and i dont consider myself a DBFZ player. High on pills youtube wall of text comment time I played DBFZ at release and the first team I started playing with was by luck a really top tier team (Cell/A16/Vegeta in various orders) and i initially got decent results in my country. I had played some anime fighters before, especially blazblue. I had the chance to play some really good EU players I respect a lot like Alioune, before I got caught lacking by the really good and dedicated players, like my fellow countryman, Easyman. I saw all the eras of this game in comp play. But I totally dropped it. In my opinion, DBFZ is a very interesting fighting game at competitive level. I could write a few paragraph about the players. But let's just put it this way : The people who play this game at the top level are aliens. Skullgirls is a game that I genuinely love and love playing and everything. But the thing with DBFZ is that it brought so many new players to fighting games and it had, at least in my region, the impact that I felt Marvel/Injustice had (FGs based on comics) or even SF4, Tekken 7, MKX, ...etc. had. Not only did it bring new people into fighting games as players, but it made some people around me realize fighting games are actually worth it. That it's fucking hard, and rewarding, just like competitive PC games like Starcraft, CS or DotA. While being different. Maybe more accessible in a way to the lower-middle class people like me too, because it's on console. And people got interested into the genre as a whole. And they started realizing how deep fighting games can go. It stimulated passions, and made new competitors rise up from their bedroom to the real offline thing. I can only wish I could say I knew the arcade days, because I'm 24 years old. But I know what it is to play at some dude's place, in their room, in their basement. In their attic. In their studio. In their hood. I acknowledge that esports, and Arab money (from Busta Rhymes) is inevitable, and that deep down we need it. But some people like me still want to keep it grassroots in some way and in some proportions. Those two young dudes. They're insanely talented. And they can be proud of what they achieved Fighting games are great
Quiero decir 2 cosas...Primero buena pelea muy entretenida aun que me hubiese gustado ver personajes distintos en los equipos me mareaba al ver tantos personajes repetidos y genial remontada de Hikari. Segundo...Francia :V
There was a lot of other good players that could've shook up the bracket but couldn't go, especially some players in NA. EVO just has a lot of mid to low tier players entering and just a few really good world class players
@@torankusu3445 again just more hits still the same character. If they have like 1.5 bars already they 2 touch. Still have the same mix ups and still nukes if u have enough resources
They should make a sandbox/linux like fighting game for big franchise like a street fighter where you can choose the graphic style, the fram, the game play if there is tag or no, if there is cancel or not deductible dommage, parry or not ex attack or not etc......
@@Goku_is_my_idol am not a fan of the either of these 2. For inzem, idk man i barely follow these pros, but 2 weeks ago inzem broke hikari's spirit twice.
NO More the house of chaos bum house then turn to the house of champions bum giving these players a chance to prove themselves is amazing first nitro now hikari the house of champions evo 2023
what a crap, they had a championship and didn't show anything with the trailer, I thought there would be most matches sooner, I can't believe I end up without ad and trailer, total waste of time.
