Could have easily gone the other way. Big bird should feel no shame in the loss. It was a set worthy of the finals.

No it wasn’t. Are you kidding? There were around two thousand people that stood in line for four hours that weren’t able to enter the arena. Evo stole a bunch of people’s money.

@@nigelstanford4 there hasn't been enough space for finals for every attendee for years, they used to sell tickets for finals separately. I agree they fucked up (should have communicated capacity properly), but honestly, did you really expect that you could just walk up halfway through the day, "wait 4 hours," and get in _while the event is already underway?_ People aren't "camping" their seats, they went to fucking watch finals day, paid their money, and woke up before you were willing to, period.

Because I paid my FUCKING money. When you buy a tick to a football game, you can get to the stadium at halftime and still claim your seat. I was not interested in any game other than Tekken & Streetfighter, why would I get there early in the morning. I actually entered yhe convention center at 1:30pm and still couldn’t get in. Again the time I woke up should not play a factor when people spent their MONEY. Please use your brain. Evo knew the capacity of the stadium vs tickets sold, and they got greedy. Stop defending them.

The main game streams were easy to find because they were all numbered with Evo#1-7 But I had a hard time finding the side game streams unless they were streamed by other channels that weren't the official evo ones :/

It's a free for all tournament where anyone with any experience can enter and compete with people who are more well known. The ones who make it to the final spots in EVO then get a chance for sponsorship. It's not about money also, it's the recognition of talent

Doesn't matter if it's a showcase (like every single tournament ever), the talents should get paid way more since they are the ones that bring the viewers in.

I'm not sure that was the actual payout for Streetfighter 6. That's just the minimum prize. It would be strange to receive the same payout as KOF, for example, because much less people played that. It would also be less than last years payout. I imagine the prize could be as much as double, but having trouble finding confirmation of that anywhere.

EndingWalker is amazing.

Considering it is first year at EVO for Ending Walker, it's beyond respectable, it's outstanding result. Fully believe we gonna hear "Ending Walker is your EVO CHAMPION" soon enough.

Watching that kid play was awesome. Been talking about how calm and collected he was all weekend. That kid is going places! Also he’s got one of the dopest names lol

That was a crowd that truly understood the significance of the history they witnessed. PunkDaGod getting "You Deserve It" chants befitting a pro wrestling extravaganza is amazing... dare I say he finished his story? And the chants of "USA!" as well... I never thought I would see the day that an American would win a Street Fighter EVO Championship... but it FINALLY happened.
