Much respect to Tempest, and I'm very happy for him. Guilty Gear isn't my style but from BBTAG days he's definitely someone I know for sure deserves this win--he's dedicated and passionate. Now I'm hoping I can win big like him someday too.
In a game like Strive, Leo has to work 10x harder than your average character because of his kit. It’s incredibly difficult to keep track of which DP to use in the midst of battle and it requires a lot of brainpower because they determine your options. He may seem unfair when fighting him but believe me when I say you're definitely being outplayed especially at high/top level. He's 100% honest as crazy as that sounds.
um he’s top tier as hell. maybe he has to work harder than some of the other absolute top tiers but he’s still better than a majority of the roster. that doesn’t make sense at all
Tempest is kinda unstoppable recently. I really hope ArcSys doesn't completely gut Leo after this. They definitely pay attention to Japanese Tournaments, and I know Leo is strong and could maybe use some changes, but TempestNYC makes him look more broken than he probably is.
Tempest just has extreme matchup knowledge for both Sol and HC. That and since there's not many high level leos on Japan, Mocchi and Tyurura don't have experience in the MU.
