I was planning on buying an Evolis, I was not sure which model so I went to youtube and found this video. Thank you so much for giving the public this very important experience you had with the company. I will never buy and Evolis. Thank you so much.
Update- Someone called me after finding this video saying they had the same problem on another model, Evolis offered to fix it for a fee whilst still under guarantee. Reminder- buy Fargo, Datacard etc. not evolis
Angèle Le Clerc - the printer was bad from the start. it cut the ribbon, then the motherboard was broken, then the print head broke. Thats 3 faults. They replaced the motherboard with a 2nd hand one- they said they didnt have a new one, and they refuse to refund the purchase. We are looking at legal action.
***** The FARGO DTC4250ewww.hidglobal.com/products/card-printers/fargo/dtc4250e check out the range of printers to suite your needs and budget. we have moved away from thermal printing into digital.
@Angèle Le Clerc We used approved evolis cleaning products to clean the head and printer. We never got to the maximum number of cards between print cycles so your argument does not hold water. Your point would be valid if Evolis Europe or USA would step in to resolve the situation. During all correspondence with Evolis, the head office in France stood by their vendor. Evolis USA never once responded to direct attempts to contact them or find a resolution. We did try, more than any reasonable number of attempts. (by the way, the head is now broken after getting the printer back from Evolis and after printing only 22 ID cards. there is now a 1mm area that does not print rendering the printer useless. Of course Evolis blame us after we proved the print head is defective. They have refused to replace the defective machine or compensate us. We are preparing a video response to that too. More will be revealed!
WOW- Thats exactly what happened to me. they eventually replaced the motherboard with a 2nd hand one , and also only after a few cards the print head started printing with a very thin white line which grew to be 1 mm as well. so this just proved that there is a factory defect that they refuse to recall this model or replace the machine, printhead or any compensation whatsoever. keep me updated.
Be Carefull, if you over-pass the maximum printed cards between two cleaning cycles, the warranty expires. Pebble is a brilliant model of card printer, have purchased dozen for my organization and never had a single issue. Don't mix bad support from the vendor and manufacturer product quality.
+Osman Goni sorry only saw this now. Good luck trying to get any help from evolis. once they have your money you become invisible. you are not the only one with serious complaints about evolis products and service
HI DONT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM EVOLIS. THEIR WARANTEE ISNT WORTH THE PAPER ITS WRITTEN ON. WATCH THE VIDEO. EVOLIS ADMITTED THAT THE MACHINE WAS BROKEN BUT THEY DONT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT.
