Nineq 96 it is said that new s-class has elecronic realiability issues. Dont know if thats true though. I did drive the s-class but not the new 7-series, so i ll tell you later :)

Nineq 96 From an exterior styling standpoint I prefer the BMW myself. If I am speaking in terms of interior styling it is S class all day long

lexusfan100 I do like how the screen has touch features. I dislike the S-Class because it has too many settings that can only be accessed by the dial. Actually, I dislike that amongst all the luxury brands (Audi, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes) have gone overboard with so many options. We're just now seeing the 7-Series, but have you checked reliability ratings for the S-Series? They're horrible. All electrical, with 90% related to the navigation/speedometer screens. Not sure if it has to do with the screens or an issue with the on-board computer system. Screen goes blank randomly, sometimes coming back after restarting the car and sometimes not. And with only a few button controls, you are locked out of the radio, seat control, some climate features, etc...if you lose the speedometer screen, you're toast.

fonfobells Only time will tell. Here in Dallas (Texas), BMW rules the luxury car market. Dealers will have no problem selling cars on their lot.

How do these two cars compare for fuel consumption? I'm guessing the BMW is better (I heard it's not bad on the BMW but quite low on the Merc). Struggling for things to like with this compared with the S-class. I like that it has a touch screen. Design wise the S-series interior and exterior, from every angle, is much cleaner. Significantly cleaner. BMW need to step up their game here.
