In Mario kart 8, if you throw the blue shell when your in first place, the shell goes after YOU. It goes after the person in first place.

The blue shells in Mario Kart GBA were super easy to dodge. They didn't fly, and as soon as it hit a barrier, it just stopped. In 150cc, the player is actually faster than the blue shell, as long as you don't slow down.

I'm a MKWII Player and in MKWII the blue shell was broken Stunning you for at least 3 seconds Now that may not seem so bad for casuals but that could get you from 1st to 7th or 8th in seconds flat Which sucks in your a competitive player like me XD

Does anyone else think the way blue shells work is kinda weird? You have to be far away from the person in 1st place to get it which usually means being in like 8th place or further. But it doesn't help you all that much because you have other players around you to worry about more. It more so helps the ppl in 2nd or 3rd place. For example say I'm in 10th and I get a blue shell as an item, well ok that's cool and all but I'd rather get something that will actually help me get out of 10th like a golden mushroom, lightning, bullet bill, invincibility star, etc.

I have a better idea, you can use the fire, ice, hammer and boomerang flowers but only your clothes change colour, however rarely some yellow shelled Koopas appear with the starman power and once their timer runs out you can beat them and wear the shell, if you combine the shell with a fire, you become a fire bro suit Mario, or ice bro, or hammer bro, or boomerang bro, you also get the helmet, this allows you to both use the specific flower and roll with the shell
