8:28 Occasionally, GTA V buses can be seen picking up and dropping passengers at Rockford Hills. However, these buses just roam around if we follow them. Sometimes, these buses spawn at a bus stop at Rockford Hills and are seen dropping off/picking up passengers. This is very rare that I've seen it only thrice or four times all these years playing the game.

I read that during GTA IV's development, there was a plan for the buses in the game to be usable. Like taxis and the Subway, the buses would have timetables, and Niko would be able to get on and off and even have them following established routes. However, it was discarded. Only VC has a bus doing a routine and showinng people getting on and off.
Vice City got it right, the buses were only seen on a specific route and they did their job. I guess the devs thought that it was unnecessary to keep in future titles. Shame as immersion was key in GTA
They could had made it a bit more useful. Say, fast travel from one stop to another. This is already done in San Andreas's trains and planes. Buses' advantage is their stops can be almost anywhere, not restricted by location of a station or airport.
Shameful as fak for a company that respect themselves and the people giving the money to have fun. For a cash grabbing sitty organization, as Rockstar has become, it's another day in business for money industry.
For GTA III, Buses and Coaches can be found driving about in certain parts of Liberty City, mainly around Chinatown in Portland and most parts of Staunton Island. They're just pretty rare to come across, but like in San Andreas they just drive around aimlessly and never escort passengers.
The craziest thing is that in GTA Vice City you can ACTUALLY PICK UP passengers if you stop near people waiting at the bus stop. It even gives you 5$ for each passenger! It's really sad that such thorough bus system didn't make it in SA and further GTAs.
4:44 No, the buses don't have any special ability except their IMBA power, although there even exist bus stops in GTA 3. You can pick up passenger in GTA Vice City but can't drop off.

Nah a lot better if they consider everyone's feedback not just what enxgma makes, and that's impossible. MTX still exists in GTAO after all the backlash they received during the early days
7:02 if you pick up recruited gang members by a bus, they will enter it, and you can pick up more than 3 gang members and drive them around using the bus! At least that makes sense...

2 facts: Sometimes GTA 5 busses can be seen picking up passengers, and they are not often empty. But they have no route or scedule. Gta VC: You can hijack a bus and start picking up people yourself, and when you get a passenger, you'd often get $5 because of the fare.
Tbh with all the small details in IV I definitely thought it would do something. Also I’m surprised you left out that YOU can pick up passengers on the bus for $5. I think it works in all 3, PS2 games.
I was blown away back when i played VC and i saw buses that actually worked. You could even drive the bus yourself and get paid by passengers when they enter the bus. In VCS and LCS there were also taxis that dropped and picked people up. You don’t see that in IV and V either. R* is weird sometimes
7:14 one day I hope they’re able to eventually replicate the car physics and weight of this game, and the lighting. Idk everything in GTA 5 seems so much more lighter and plastic. The way the bus twist and bends with every bump like it has actual weight to it
Its people problem i remeber when gta 4 came out in 2008 many were hating the game beacause it was too realstic thats why rockstar limited it and i dont think rockstar will put vehicle physics in gta 6 since gta 5 was more succesful than gta 4
I remember the GTA IV Bus was a mega tank that bulldozed through everything. It was so much fun getting into pursuits in that thing. Remember Killdozer? Meet Crazybus! Until the APC arrived in The Ballad of Gay Tony DLC.
CJ hates gravity so much that he refuses to comply to it. And Papa Niko adheres to cartoon based gravity, which takes some time to kick in. Great video as always mate 👍🏻 P.S. RIP Ray Liotta, voice of Tommy Vercetti. He passed away peacefully in his sleep on 26th May 2022.
I didn't know that Vice City featured bus line mechanics before GTA V :O It's not much logical but it's still a superb detail for such an old game and it's not that badly made tbh

Great video! Here's an other cool thing i discovered playing, if you steal a bus in Vice City you can actually take passengers yourself at the bus stops, and they will even give you some money for the lift!
And planes too. Especially as long as in San Andreas u attend and pass the flying school!!! But the idiot organization Rockstar can't come up with brilliant ideas anymore... Simply cause they don't give a fak about the delivering product..

With the picking up and dropping off passengers in gta 5, i think it is rare, because i have seen it happen before. It wasnt in a mission, i was just driving, and i saw it. It was only one time though. Thats why i think it is rare.
The bus system is horrendously overlooked by the devs if _only Vice City_ had it actually function. It's an essential part of any city, ffs! Really hope there are some mods that make it more complete or at least a way for the player to be ferried around like trains and taxis.
Plus, their stops can be almost anywhere. It could be most convenient method of fast travel (next to taxis). Or additional form of income. Kind of like train missions in San Andreas.
Seems strange that GTA games include taxis, trains, subways, and even commercial air travel possible for the player - but no city buses. This is strange because ALL big cities have a bus service running for public transportation, however NOT all cities have trains and subways. I live in Albany (the capital of NY state), for example. It's a large city surrounded by many other large cities. And NONE of them have L-trains or subways. Only buses and taxis/Uber. If I was one of the early GTA III designers, I would have rather there been a functioning city bus line that made stops all over Liberty City (instead of the L-train that only takes you around Portland Island). If time and memory restrictions would have allowed it, I would have both the L-train and bus line, of course. But if I could only choose one to be in the game, it would be a bus line for sure.
2:40 I think what's happening there is that, even if he is exiting the bus up there, he's doing so on the closes floor underneath him, which is the one at the very bottom, so it's not considered a fall, maybe? I don't know is kind of wacky.

In GTA V, you can actually spot a bus stopped at Paleto Bay bus stop when you drive in there, making it look like it actually picks passengers up. But it doesn't. It just takes off and starts driving randomly.
Seeing your determination to chase the bus by foot just make me laugh so much, anyways really nice video by always and really impressed by how you always can found new topic about GTA
