Evolution of Characters in LEGO DC Videogames (Side by Side Comparison). This includes LEGO Batman: The Videogame, LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham as well as LEGO DC Super-Villains. #lego #legodc
@@slayzeslays1540 I know. "Hey, GL, what costume change did you get!" "Uh, really just changed my gloves to green. I'm not that good at designs despite being a Green Lantern."
When i played the first lego batman game and thought "nothing can possibly be better than this!" Im looking at it now and with how far its come, this is enough to make a grown man cry, GG
1:29 2012 version makes me nostalgic, not because I played the game, but because of the dvd movie. Replayed that thing over and over again when I was little.
i hate how much villians cheaped out on the big figs. characters like atrocitus, killer Kroc, and doomsday had unique designs, now they lost all their detail and have generic printing
Yeah, but they look more like they could actually be physical LEGO bigfigs that way. I know they are less uniquely modeled (and they absolutely RUINED Killer Croc, because *that* physical bigfig sucked), but now they could use those models for actual sets. The 2020 DC Comics Minifig blind bags had the LEGO Batman 3 Bat-Mite, but they changed the cowl because the LEGO Batman 3 character models didn't have the physical toys in mind unless that minifigure already existed, and the game's cowl wouldn't fit the LEGO style as well. It's the same here.
Correct I think they had every member of the main justice league Martian manhunter Batman Superman The flash Cyborg Green lantern (hal jordan) Wonder woman
Man, I remember playing the earliest lego games and seeing how far they've come is just amazing! The amount of detail they manage to put in now is always going to be a sight to see in their new games!!
I admire Riddler's character arc of slowly accumulating more drip throughout the series until he finally got his suit. Maybe the next game will give him the tie to go along with it.
Seeing the first LEGO Batman characters brings back so many memories, I remember playing the game with my brother when I was like 5 and when I would wake up from naps and get mad at him for playing without me, I’ll never be more upset about giving up a console as I am about my wii
IMO I think most characters had more personality in DC Super Villains but man the Gotham OW was so good. Although its cool to get places like Apokolips, Smallville, Metropolis and Gotham in one game.
@@darkneon5637 idk tbh but prolly yellow because he sells black market goods to gain a profit and he hires people to make sure he gets what he wants or if you want to go off the original Lego Batman 1 Story then he wanted to have the world at ransom for money or rule it. Yes, I wrote a rant for a children’s VideoGame
This is kinda misleading because he’s showing a lot of the DLC characters based off of the movies instead of the actual designs for the characters in DC Super Villains
@@GlitchanBlackcuz of branding, it will sell more and appeal to more audiences because they got used to seeing that joker face everywhere in the first and third game and since it became kind of sub consciously iconic in our minds they used it to market the game. Imagine what the game would be like without it.
@@namegutter6434 In the first Lego Batman game, during the first Hero Story cutscene of Riddler’s Revenge Level 5, Robin built the Eiffel Tower out of the black LEGO Bricks Riddler left behind throughout the game.
Lego Batman: The Videogame and Lego Batman two is so nostalgic, i used to play it when I was younger. And Batgirl Catwoman and Harley look better in those games. I also love the dance Robin does in LB3
THANK YOU EXACTLY someone FINALLY said it 💯👏🏿, Lego Batman the Videogame, and Lego DC Super Villains are the BEST Lego DC games cause of how the characters fight in both games when it comes to fighting, and about the fact that you can automatically grab enemies, but not ONLY that you can also automatically do DIFFERENT combos, and stuff UNLIKE Lego Batman 2, and 3 IMAO IDC. Plus Lego Batman 2 is CORNY AF to me, and Lego Batman 3 is just TOO BORING to me because it's just like that in Lego Batman 3 almost all of the characters in that game except the Justice, and the Injustice league can't at least do nothing like lunge and attack enemies, throw objects at enemies, and more when it comes to fighting in that game like you could do with the characters in Lego DC Super Villains. And I feel like that in my opinion what ruined the the whole entire game of Lego Batman 3, and to make it look like a bad Lego DC game like Lego Batman 2 is as well is that WHY put minions characters like the Thunderer, Brainiac's Minion, Orange Warrior as playable characters in Lego Batman 3 ESPECIALLY when ALL you can do with minion characters in Lego Batman 3 is just brawl ONLY, when it comes to fighting, but you can't, or unable to at least grab enemies WHILE attacking enemies, or at least throw objects at them SMH 🙄😒.
Lego Batman 1 & 2: Classic or comic accurate suit designs Lego batman 3: Most realistic portrayal possible Lego Super-Villains: Variations of Arrowverse and DCEU
I think it's cool to see how these characters evolved over the years I like batman personally in lego dc super villians his Ben Affleck design and his other design in this game are amazing
5 yo me playing Lego Batman 2 in 2012: nothing can beat this, my life has peaked 7 yo me in 2014 when the Lego Batman 3 trailer dropped: holy fucking shit this one has booster gold *throws Lego Batman 2 out the window*
@@Liqsity I mean, given DC Super Villains, it obviously hasn't ruined the franchise, it just means the chances of a 3rd _actual_ batman game probably isn't going to happen. Can live in hope for a remaster of the original Batman though!
I prefer the LEGO Batman 1 versions of characters who were in that game but for atom I prefer ray Palmer from dc supervillains because I watch the cw shows same for vibe and all other cw characters I prefer the cw look
Best versions of each (in terms of visual appearance): Joker: Supervillains, exclusively because of the card in his pocket. Aside from that, any game except for 1. Killer Croc: 3. Croc is better as a bigfig, and his second bigfig design just looks hokey. Black Adam: Supervillains. Black Adam should be Khandaqi. Scarecrow: Supervillains. Batman: 2. I like the black Batsuit with the yellow logo best. Nightwing: Supervillains. The hair is better and the taser escrima sticks are a nice touch. Aquaman: All three base game versions look exactly the same. Two-Face: Supervillains B:TAS DLC. NOT the base game version. Sinestro: 3/Supervillains, both of which are identical. Clayface: Supervillains. Superman: Supervillains, but only really for giving him two distinct looks, three with DLC. He looks great in all three of his appearances. Batgirl: 3. The purple costume doesn't do it for me. Darkseid: They're the same. Bane: Supervillains. I just like this design slightly more than 3, but I can't explain why. The Flash: Supervillains base game, NOT either DLC version. Shazam: Supervillains DLC, for the wrist decals. Catwoman: Supervillains. The goggles just look better in that game. Wonder Woman: Supervillains New 52 costume. Poison Ivy: Supervillains. Harley Quinn: Supervillains base game. The original Harley costume doesn't work as well for me in Lego form. Black Manta: Supervillains DLC. Deathstroke: 3 base game. Deadshot: Supervillains. Brainiac: 2. Hush: 3 is the highest definition, but the costume design is the same in all three games. I'll go with 2 for the more realistic guns. Killer Frost: *3*. Frankenstein: 3. Mohawks suck. Green Lantern: They're all the same. Grodd: Supervillains. Green Arrow: Supervillains. Hawkgirl: No strong preference. Hawkman: 2. Man-Bat: 3. Kid Flash: Apples to oranges. All three are different characters. Firestorm: See above. Etrigan: Supervillains. Etrigan not being able to turn into Jason Blood in either of the games he's in is a missed opportunity. Parasite: Supervillains. Unlike Croc, his design in 3 just looks comical. Ra's Al Ghul: Supervillains. Why have him wear no shirt? He usually wears one. Swamp Thing: Supervillains. Penguin: They're all the same. Condiment King: I like them both equally. Mr. Freeze: 3. Red Hood: Supervillains. The Music Meister: Supervillains. The tap shoes are a nice touch. Riddler: Supervillains. Robin: Of the three Tim Drake Robins, 2/3. Red Tornado: Supervillains. The forehead arrow was too big in 3. Reverse Flash: Supervillains, for the red eyes. Solomon Grundy: 3. Mad Hatter: Supervillains DLC. I don't like the way he looks in the other three games. Lex Luthor: Despite looking different in all three games, I have no preference. Lobo: 3. Malcom Merlyn: 3, I think. Martian Manhunter: Supervillains, only because he has a better bigfig form there. His minifig form is identical in all three of his appearances. Bizarro: 3. Beast Boy: No preference. Black Canary: Supervillains. Doomsday: Supervillains, I think. Blue Beetle: 3, I think. Booster Gold: No meaningful difference. Cheetah: Supervillains. Doctor Fate: Supervillains. Gordon: Supervillains. Cyborg: No preference. King Shark: 3. Metallo: Supervillains. 3 looks hokey. Miss Martian: Supervillains only for having a bigfig form. From a minifig perspective, I prefer 3. Plastic Man: They're the same. Orion: Supervillains. Supergirl: 2. The Atom: Supervillains base game. Heatwave: Supervillains. Kalibak: Supervillains. Katana: Supervillains, but only just. Her costume in 2 is also really good. Firefly: 3. Dex-Starr: Supervillains. Captain Cold: No preference. Captain Boomerang: Supervillains. Bronze Tiger: Supervillains. I don't even know what 3 was going for. Cheshire: Supervillains. Mr. Mxyzptlk: They're the same. Krypto: 3. Batwoman: Supervillains. Alfred: 1-3. Atrocitus: Supervillains. It just looks more...Lego-like. Zatanna: 3. Huntress: Supervillains. Star Sapphire: They're the same. Polka-Dot Man: No preference. Superboy (Kon-El): 3. Starfire: They're almost the same, but Supervillains. I like the hair just a bit better. Toyman: 3. Trickster: They're the same. Ultra-Humanite: Supervillains. Vibe: 3. Zod: 3. Detective Chimp: 3. Mera: 3! Definitely 3! Terra: Supervillains, but they're almost the same. The later iteration just has a better hair piece. Vixen: Supervillains. Killer Moth: The alternate version from the DS version of 1. Wonder Girl: No preference. Desaad: No preference.
