Speaking of life, the acting is so good! All these wonderful actors poured their heart and soul into their characters and brought them to life and made these cookies interesting, relatable, and realistic! It takes a lot to make a game about running gingerbread men pull at your heartstrings but it worked, the actors deserve a raise! Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
@@amyrosefan1883 despite the fact that I've never heard them actually speak, only grunt, yell, Squeak and so on, and when they do talk it's not even in English.
Fun fact, back then in the 1st version of cookie run, there was a level where you ran while you were INSIDE THE WITCH, you saw her organs and heart etc etc, it wasn’t so kid friendly back then but very dark. Edit: Why did this blow up-
from what i also remember as well i think you could also see the cookies that she already eaten and their faces were twisted with agony it was really fucked
Lets all pay respect to cookie wars. Its just sad that it had to disappear. I really liked that game. Edit: Geez I didnt know yall were having a war in the reply section. Yall need to calm down.
Oh my GOSH! The original game looked like one of those "Miss me with that copyright infringement" games like the Spongeguys, Spiderboys, and different colored Hello Neighbors that cashgrabbers love to put out on the android store LOL (but the charm of Gingerbrave is still there!) They've come so far!!
I played the game during 2009 and had just came back last year. I can't believe the amount of changes they did are amazing. They really pushed everything, including the art itself.

I found out crk in may and started playing it in gingerbraves birthday event, I used to think that gingerbrave was just turning 12, I didn't realize it was his actual anniversary 🤠
I got into the game a few days ago now I’m in episode 2. And I have chili pepper cookie, wizard cookie. GingerBrave, Strawberry cookie and Custard Cookie The III
I remember this game being really popular in my friend group when I was in like grade 7 lol. My first year in college I downloaded it again and got hit with so much nostalgia. I ended up getting pretty into it for a few months before I stopped playing again. Then during the pandemic I downloaded it yet again and got just as sucked in so I guess I’m just here for good now 😂
What makes it worse is that before cookie wars ended, the story was at a point where you had to find an antidote for the Jelly Walkers, but nobody ever got to that point, so the cookie wars universe was doomed. Gingerbrave and his friends probably got jellified at some point.
@@gapplegd6372 OrumLabs was also revealed to have been terminated due to its poor performance, potentially even because of bankruptcy. On April 15th, 2020, it was announced that CookieWars' service would come to an end on May 15th, 2020, citing an inability to keep the servers going despite the desire to.
@@gapplegd6372 because the orumlab got bankrupt so they cancelled it and there was a cookie run kingdom but orumlab wasn't there so devsis tried their best to make cookie run kingdom
Actually before Line, there was Kakao it was pretty much only available to play in Korea only then 1 year later Line came worldwide. Kakao was pretty much the earlier Korean Version of Line.
I swear to god I had a dream where I was in my room and it was very dark and my tv was on and I was staring at creepy looking head. I can’t handle shit anymore😭😭😭
The only cookie run game I've played is Cookie Run Kingdom, and the first one I've heard of is Cookie Run Ovenbreak (which I've never played). The evolution of the game is cool to see though.
Ovenbreak Lore: Haha, Gingerbread man run Cookie Run: Ovenbreak/Kingdom Lore: *You didn't have to cut me off* While I am new to the Cookie Run games, the fact that we went from an 2D endless runner and then a Candy Crush Clone to a full on out story driven rpg with lore and characters just shows you the amount of lore and effort put into the series. The simplest the concepts can grow well with enough care Edit: Drinking game, take a shot everytime someone thinks I'm talking about Cookie Run: Ovenbreak and not Ovenbreak (2009) lol. I wondering how many "Ovenbreak fans" who look down upon Cookie Run fans who were introduced by Kingdom actually knew about the original Ovenbreak (2009).
I played the original Ovenbreak as a kid, and after hearing about Cookie Run Kingdom (started playing it like right before it started blowing up) it brings me joy that my childhood game has made it so far. Keep on running, Devsisters.
I feel so bad the English version doesn't have any dubbed voice for cookies and the story at the beginning for kingdom their voices are really attractive...
I've played this since herb cookie was first announced. Back then you could put like 20 cookies at your lobby. The lobby also had some sick theme before it got remixed by dj cookie. I got the sparkling cookie which I used to fucking wreck trophy race. Then after pink chocho came and I quit for some reason. that was like 2017 or something. Then I came back when Lime cookie was announced and instantly got her to level 10 where I once again proceeded to wreck trophy race with. then I quit. then I got back into it. then I quit again. then I got back into it last week. fucking gacha games
I had started playing cookie run right as cookie run: breakout came out. It was surprising to see a game that I had previously avoided a while back grow so much. I’m so glad I didn’t ignore cookie run
i played CR when it got introduced by LINE (and i remembered that one of the most OP cookie at that time was angel cookie) and played it for awhile till i got bored i picked up CR again when quarantine started and MY GOD i was shocked how different it is,it took me weeks to get used by the current version LMAO
I started with the LINE version and starting to play the OvenBreak also the Kingdom a week ago and just... Woah, the nostalgia hits hard but mostly I am so proud how the developer did with this game
BREAKING NEWS: After Devsis got big stonks, they UPPED THEIR GAME AND PUSHED IT TO THE ABSOLUTE MAX! But the events are still kinda grindy, but thats kinda the point.
i remember playing one of the old first versions of ovenbreak when the line logo was still the first thing to promote it i tought it was neat but lacked stuff, stopped playing and like 2 years later a friend recommended it to me again and i said sure why not and i was so amazed by the amount of changes the game had, the whole aesthetic and how the game was managed was so much better, i knew they would grow and damnn they did, im so happy a game this small managed to create such a big community and make enough money to create something like kingdom
Me: *sees jellified cookies* Haha. What losers. Also Me: *sees jellified Angel* I take that back. Also Also Me: *sees jellified Dark Choco* *NOO MY BABY!!*
Even though i started playing this game from latest ovenbreak, i remember early battle mode where you needed to win 5 times for special star chest, first appearance of breakout, friendly run on pirate map only, millenial city and pirate special, and there even was more languages like russian, the peppermint as new cookie, island of memories updates and when skins were just added
I'm barely an adult and got into kingdom over half a year ago and a month ago got into ovenbreak, and both of these have become a special intrest to me. I learned a few months into it that the game series(?), franchise(?), came out during my first few years of elementary school. To see that many people over many generations have enjoyed it in its different itterations, makes me almost humbled in a sense. To see something start of as just "gingerbread man in game form" turn into a game where you are basically preventing world ending scenarios really shows how even though it's based off something else, execution of previous ideas as well as bringing in your own is often what creativity is about. I'm happy they have gotten this far.
I only knew about ovenbreak when onion was added to it , a few weeks later I downloaded it and played for a few months lmaoo, I also flexed my mom when I got a few super epics too! It was really fun
Imagine if they had a cookie wars like event in Kingdom- basically just a zombie/jellywalker event where they introduce cool jelly walker decor or somethin like that om- and the new cookie is energy driNk cooKiE
@@Y0sh1nova I don’t think that wars would need a story continue. It’s what the shut-down means. They didn’t die, they didn’t keep fighting, they won. They found the cure and saved everyone ( clones included)
I forgot about this game until I saw an ad for cookie run kingdom that reminded me of it. I just want to replay the original oven break like I did back in 2009
I used to play the first Ovenbreak game SO much when I was younger, and now I’m currently playing Cookie Run Kingdom, LOOK AT HOW DIFFERENT GINGERBRAVE LOOKED BACK THEN, man I feel old. I’m so happy that OvenBreak games are still being made.
I have very VERY intrusive memories of line from when i played it on my old tablet (i was 8 or smth) i am on a quest to trying to get on the korean line ver i swear
I remember back in 2014 ,one of my mom friend play cookie run lines but i didn't really interested into it that time(well im really young in that year). On 2020 i decides to join the cookie run community because i saw sereval gameplay and animation of the games. Then i remember that my mom friend play the games back in 2014, I show her the ovenbreak ver of the games and she said "alot thing has changes since i stop playing the games". She stop play the games due the phone space that can't take the game. This vid give me alot nostalgia. :)
As a player from 2011... wow.. this... I- I didnt realized how so much has changed, it felt like i just went along with it, yaknow. i mean i did stop playing for a couple of years but when i came back just- wow-
The nostalgia of playing the second version of this on my parents’ old ipad :,) didn’t play for years and just now started getting back into cookie run kingdom, and it’s crazy how different it’s gotten!
