I mean he was fed up with it in 7 and almost killed Wily. in 8, Bass, and 9 he knows this is getting very old. Hell, in 9, wily was shown a flashback of the previous attempts and was always doing the same old embarrasing “forgive me” shtick every time Mega Man defeats him.

It may not be true to the original script, but I honestly love it because realistically, ANYONE in Mega Man's position would be sick of Wily's shit. Especially after that hellish final boss fight.

Best part is that Mega went Light (pun very intended) on him. He only showed MM1-8 and Megaman & Bass. He could have SO showed the gameboy games, Megaman I-V (especially IV where he literally tried to kill Mega Man with a giant mech and V where he lost even through he had SPACE ALIEN ROBOTS, A not-Death Star, literally all of the Rockman Killers, and a Doomsday Weapon Robot lolololol). And Super Adventure. And Rockman Strategy. 16 Holograms of Mega Man Defeating Wily lmao. (and it could be 18 if I considered Battle & Chase and Rockman Soccer)

It would be funny if he played the voice recording saying "damn" in Megaman and Bass game

The final NES megaman, it was supposed to be the end of the whole series, so the ending is convlusive, the. Megaman X and megaman 7 continued the series with different plans. Both are great, just a fun fact
