DKW, from Dampf-Kraft-Wagen (German: "steam-driven car"), was a historic brand of motorcycles and cars. It was founded in 1916 by Danish engineer Jørgen Skafte Rasmussen, who established the factory in Zschopau, Saxony (Germany) to produce spare parts for steam engines. In the same year he tried to produce a steam-powered car, which he called "DKW". In 1919 he built a two-stroke, toy engine, without success; he called it Des Knaben Wunsch - "a child's wish". He put a slightly modified version of this engine into a motorcycle and called it Das Kleine Wunder - "a little wonder". This was the real beginning of the DKW brand, which in the 1930s was the world's largest producer of motorcycles.

I always rather liked the rounded 1960s models. They looked like nothing else. I believe there was a four door.

Ah the famous f102. Big flop. Nobody wanted smoke belching 2 strokes any more. Mercedes Benz developed new engines and resurrected the brand Audi. The rest is history.

Thank you for your comment. Nevertheless, in my opinion, this company has produced quite a lot of interesting cars in its history.

This video script is generated by AI. (The voice is obviously TTS too but that doesn't even need to be mentioned because it's obvious.)

I'd really like to learn how to generate similar videos with AI. And you're right about the voice.
