OTD-1►Who is your favorite Rival of all time and why?
Leave your comments below!
Important information : These are the last battle againt the rival before the post game! This is important because I know that this isn't their max level here, that's why I'll do a separated video about their rematch or more precisely Final rival battle after the post game if not the video would be to long to watch.
If I add before post game in my title, it will be too long, that's why I decided to put it on the thumbnail.
Battles and Strategic has been completely remade to some of them compared to the compilations I've made before like N or Blue.
For example, I've used FireRed in one of the compilation against Blue but this time I used LeafGreen. Same goes for some other Rival.

Skallo I think better terms would be an edgy friend. Acts tough, isnt ever satisfied, isnt exactly the happiest guy towards the player and especially other people. Not a scumbag though, thats weird wording for it.

N is my favorite because I like him and the build up to the final battle against him on BW.

To me the best rival was Silver because he's the only one who truly changed throughout the game... Blue was always a cocky jerk. Brendan/May always focused more on the PokeDex. Wally was always inspired by you & though he came close to best rival, the most noted change was his health, not his character. Barry was always goofy. Bianca was always hyper & not careful. Cheren was always calculating. Hugh was always a caring yet punkish type. N always cared for Pokemon from the start. Shauna, Tierno, & Trevor were always gonna be in Calem/Serena's shadow so they were more like extras then rivals. Hau was always goofy to the point he could never be taken seriously, even in USUM. Gladion was always the loner no matter where his path went. Trace was the caring but discount version of Blue, though his team was better than Blue's... At least with Silver he went from the loner who just wanted strong Pokemon to the type who ended up learning how to become stronger with his Pokemon & learning how to care for them. He's also the only one that has a true major backstory. Gladion comes close there, but in the the end his was more like running away from home. N does as well, but in the end his was more of him being used than anything. That's why I think Silver is the best rival.

I disagree, I actually think that silver wasnt a good rival. He just says i suck all the time and in the final battle he realizes that "Oh, maybe my pokemon dont like me because I treat them badly just because I want to win" Like N is 100 times a better rival

Because Hau isn't the champion. In USUM you are the Champion since you beat the elite four first. Hau is just the first challenger to appear and therefore isn't referred to as champion.

@@xyzzy-dv6te I personally think it was a smart idea besides Let's Go is based on Yellow which was a game going off the anime which meant your original starter doesn't evolves besides in Let's Go they gave The Starters such powerful moves that make them even better than their evolved forms so I dont get why people bash on the fact that your starters can't evolve even though its more powerful as its original form in Lets Go than its own evolution

@Creative Mark :D what if they could use the moves when evolved? :-3 Also, you could evolve Pikachu in Yellow. There are 2 ways: 1. trade to RB/GSC, evolve there and trade back 2. change your trainer's name with ws m (a glitch item for arbitrary code execution), use thunder stone on Pikachu and change your name back

My problem in Pokémon was that I was switching different pokemon from my huge pokedex collection to raise so they all could be the same level, so when I was fighting the rival, my pokemon were too weak to beat him from the 1st try, but after I started playing silver, I was focusing on one set of Pokémon that consisted 11-13 Pokémon so they can all be strong at the end.

@@zkdelta8014 it doesn't help that the song is only 40 seconds long. It was cool for like 2 minutes, and then it became my most hated rival theme. I still love what they did with Wally in ORAS, but repetitive music is the bane of my existence. I don't think it doesn't fit though. It fits with his character and shows he's grown. But I still hate his theme. Just my opinion so I hope I didn't offend you, and sorry for this long ass reply.

I love the Gladion final battle the most because of my personal experience battling him. Two: the post-battle dialogue gave me enough motivation to sweep through Lanakila and the Pokémon League Three: 2:22:44 THAT SMILE

My favourite rivals are Silver, Hugh and Hau (USUM). Hau I liked in ultra sun and moon because it seemed he was really trying his best and acting less goofy. And that theme when you challenge is godly.

I always felt that Brendan/May were a pretty bad rival because they didnt really go for badges and were more about the pokedex, and didnt battle you often. Wally definetly stands out as my favorite Hoenn Rival. But my favorite has to be Gladion for having a bop of a theme and a cool backstory, though Silver and N are right there behind him if not beside him.

This was really cool and amazing. Out of all the rivals in the Pokémon games, my favorite one is blue. He was sometimes a jerk every time I battled him since I grew up playing Pokémon red until pokemon black and white on the ds when I was younger,and he was also really cool and was never annoying at all and only appeared on occasion to battle. The other rivals from the later pokemon games were also okay but sometimes just annoying to be honest.

If we're including N as a rival, he's definitely my favorite. But if not, it's a 3 way tie between Blue, Hugh, and Barry. All the rivals are good though. (Even Trace to an extent).

I think it’s a nice touch that the first move N’s Reshiram/Zekrom uses is Fusion Flare/Bolt so that you can use the powered up version of the other move. I know it isn’t very effective, but I’m not wasting the opportunity 😂

Bianca is underrated. She's so cute and friendly and despite not wanting to be a Pokemon Trainer she still ends up becoming pretty powerful. She's even in the Pokemon World Tournament and becomes Juniper's assistant.

Final rival battle for silver crystal is right at the stairs before entering elite four. You can battle it every monday if i am not wrong. Unless that is post game. Not too sure but yea there is one more battle. Just saying. Great vid anyway

When I first played black and white at first I thought it was kinda mid, but honestly when playing it years later I have come to an appreciation for that game, N was a rival, antagonist and oh yea the freakin champion. The character arc he was on was simply fantastic. As far as importance goes he’s probably the most important Rival/antagonist/champion ever. If you lost then team plasma takes over everything pretty much
