I'm always very glad Mario 64 existed, but since their release, I always felt like 3D Land and 3D world were the natural progression from 2D to 3D. I realized those are along the lines of what I thought 64 would be before I played it. The 64, Sunshine, Galaxy, etc. games are something else entirely.
the reason why Super Mario 64 was the way it was was mainly system limitations. They couldn't make alot of levels and they found out that exploring the World was more fun than getting to the end of a level. And they were absolutely spot on.
@@MugiwarasNakama So 2D Metroid is automatically more fun than 2D Super Mario for that reason, that you explore a world rather than get to an end of a level?
@@rikardandersson5582 What, how did you arrive at that conclusion? Exploration does not automaticly make a game supperior but in Super mario 64 it was the right call.
If the point is to show us the evolution of the levels, I'm not sure why for SM 1, 2, and 3, you showed/created videos that skipped half of the levels.
Also the colourised version of Super Mario Land was shown, even though that came out in recent years rather than back in 1992 like the monochrome original.
Actually Paper Mario is it’s own series this is the Super Mario series the video is talking about Evolution of first levels of SUPER Mario games so no they didnt forget it’s just part of a different series same with Donkey Kong and Mario bros (don’t know what Mario Bros is a part of though).
Paper Mario technically doesn't have levels. It has chapters and the first is the Prologue and there really is no action in it except 1 fight where you HAVE to lose. No one wants to see that.
I’ve seen most of the Mario’s played on RU-vid but I personally haven’t played any of the Mario games after Mario64 lol I was 11 I think when that came out. I played all of the Mario’s before it tho
No Cappy speaking Japanese allowed during the game only English, Spanish (Latinoamericanos), French, German, and different spoken voice language got it!!!!!
La música de Mario Odyssey del reino de las cataratas está horrible , esa y la del reino urbano desentonan con lo que es el juego . En cambio las del reino perdido y la del reino de las arenas suenan muy bien
