Aight I'm gonna come clean here, since I'm getting fucking tired of seeing all the same hate comments all the time. I followed the fourth wall break page from the wiki and went from there (I did add a couple of my own though mind you). Happy? Don't go blaming me for how "shit" this is. If y'all think you can make a better compilation then go ahead. I'll wait. And try not stealing my clips if you go for it lol.

I'd argue a lot of these aren't fourth wall breaks. Just because they look directly at the camera doesn't mean they look at US. For example, the character introductions in Shadow the Hedgehog. The camera angle in these is clearly what Shadow sees. So it's more like a first person camera angle than a 4th wall break. I don't think anyone would argue that when someone looks at you in a first person shooter they are breaking the 4th wall...

A shooter would be different because a shooter is online people while this is coded in, in a shooter it’s the point of the game. but in this it would be breaking the fourth wall because they are talking to or symboling something to the player.

Agreed. A big example is in Sonic Heroes he shows Rouge wink at the camera. I don't know if that was just to make it easier to see, but if the way it was framed is a requirement, now you have Shadow staring at her for a prolonged period of time. Another few I had a problem with was using terms that people, or gamers at the very least, put into their mannerisms. As they're from a video game, it becomes more of a pun as opposed to breaking the fourth wall.

They're not. They're actually just having a dialogue but you can't hear them over the music. You can tell this is the case because in the full cutscenes for each ending the character's mouths only move during some random parts of the song and not the whole thing, implying that it's actually unrelated to the song.

8:23 This is always something that bugged me about sonic advance 3. Why did they make Cream unlockable after world 7 instead of Amy? I mean Cream is shown before Amy if you let the intro cutscene play out upon startup yet they made Amy unlocked after world 5!
