Her origin story was she was impersonating a man. She was the first female fighter SNK ever designed due to the original Fatal Fury having no women, and you only found out she was a woman in her first appearance if you defeated her with a special move. She kept "King" as her professional fighting name afterward. I don't think her real name has ever been revealed in official game content.
