its because it uses baked lighting rather than dynamic lighting. they opted for dynamic lighting as dmz was originally supposed to have a day-night cycle like tarkov but i guess that was scrapped.
@mrdodge762 played MW2019 for hundreds of hours, rarley ran into campers, and whenever i did it was extremely easy to kill them. People complained about camping in the game way too much.
Actually for some reason the Campaign of MW2 looks way better than MW19 trust me. In terms of MP it doesn't look at good. Maybe it's because it's a Cross Gen game. Like making a game run on 5 platforms is difficult
MW 2019 is unbeatable...those guns lookes so sicked and beautiful and so detailed..gun sounds were so soothing and the environments were so perfect that it was capable of giving you a real battlefield vibe
MW3 was meant to be a premium dlc, but still would've been full price Plus if it wasn't copy and paste they wouldn't allow all the weapons and things to transfer
Mw3 still the better playing out of them all, mw2019 felt too clunky and dull, mw2 was just a shambles and felt slow, this new mw3 feels fast, movement is smooth and flowy, classic maps, new zombies experience, ninja perk is back.
Shit like this is why MW19 was so good. I don’t feel enough people recognize how well made it was and now it feels like we’re back to regularly scheduled programming
but it wasnt even a good cod it became popular cus of covid it was been hated at the start then they dropped wz and people wanted top lay and make money so they started playing 24/7
“game fights”? A game full of campers hiding in the dark (seen from a completely dead color palette to simulate “realism”) and that kill you in 1 second with no chance of reacting in matches that end with time because no one has the courage to advance is simply horrible. It's literally the same gameplay as Ghosts from 2013, in other words, it's delayed gameplay, not ahead of its time
@@MosinMan12 and learn how to use a x-ray vision to see the claymores and the campers literally hiding in specific places and a inhuman finger speed to shoot faster than all campers… Remember, a lot of people just want to play a Call of Duty game and have some fun after a work day, I don't even have time to train aim or speed in a game
@@dodgeratorthere was a ghost perk for claymores, if theres a camper in the dark spot the easy fix is to just not go there. Or snipe him. Dealing with campers is so easy since with them standing still is them asking to be shot
@@xXLesterGamingXx the perks should be completely optional, if the game forces you to use a specific perk to don't suffer in the matches, there is something very wrong. And you only discover where the campers are after dying for them at least once, so it's annoying anyway
@@mikehasfallen neither did mw2, but generally speaking mw 2019 was more well received and still had a large fan base that enjoyed the game, and was still the most played multiplayer during cold war's bad phases and most of vanguard, until they removed maps and shoot the ship and scrapped it for mw2
MW19 was what brought me back. BOCW made me hate COD again. But I had warzone Vanguard I didn't buy. MWII was worst buy I ever made. MWIII beta. Well that feels good. but maps feel awful. They were good with old movement not this.
@@yochintohere I'm in the exact same position, I bought the mw2 vault edition twice and expected it to be like mw2019 and I couldn't have been more wrong, I am not preordering mw3 and I'm not sure I'll buy it later either
Yes MW2019 was built from the ground up with an updated engine which eventually turn into this new engine with a few improvements. But the work done in MW2022-2023 combined is much lower than the efforts put into MW2019.
I honestly think the thing that made mw2019 so much better was the art style of the game, instead of being a bright vibrant colorful game it stuck to being a dark and gloomy game it wasn’t trying to fantasize war (not counting operator bundles)
No, definitely not. Trust me, you only like the realistic lighting until you come across your first camper hiding in the dark or until you can't see enemies a little far away from you.
@@Motinhox people in my lobbies are on crack. Your skill bracket may have had people with slow reaction times but MW19 was TERRIBLE when it came to overall multiplayer. No mini map on launch, porous map design with camping spots, camper friendly ghost perk, dead silence as field upgrade, super fast ttk and mini map not revealing positions for firing unsuppressed weapons.
@@cosma7415 betas USED to be unfinished versions of the game, now they're for marketing purposes and are mostly 90% of what we will get for the rest of the ENTIRETY of the game's life cycle.
@@cosma7415 Do you really think the devs are going to change anything other than weapon stats, do minor tweaks to movement etc. and some bug fixing? The details, graphics, art style, game engine features are all already locked in and wont change. Nowdays beta versions are pretty much done minus minor tweaks. The series has once again become a lazy copy & paste cash grab since the success of MW19. All of the neat little details are gone, graphics are dumbed down and the focus is on how much money the company can milk from a single customer.
I miss the operator walking in the seasonal environment. After playing MW2019 again recently man big difference. The Ak had so much oompf behind it alone.
Mw19 was gritty as a war game should be ,superior lighting. Everything just seemed tuned and crisp. Marks the new generation of gaming to me. Top tier cod.
The Devolution of the Modern MW Series. Although the color scheme was lacking in MW2019 it still looks crisp all the years later I’m so happy I bought into the hype and the many hours/days spent. I hope infinity Ward can just open the doors for the modding community for MW2019 the engine still has potential. What was sad about the lifespan of MW2019 it was overshadowed by Warzone and never got the content and attention it deserved.
its like bo3 for the jumping games. they all ass realistically but the ones that were better are more tolerable. cod realistically hasnt released a good game since ghosts. and even then that was only good for the game modes the devs recognized that were created by the community. and the campaign. then they had the predator n shit.
@@cosma7415 It's not gonna get better graphically. It's not bad looking though, it's just a different art style. COD betas are all just for marketing and some balancing before launch, there won't be any major changes to graphics
honestly alot like what cod4,mw2 and mw3 did if you think about it. 4 was gritty and realistic, 2 felt hollywood michael bayish, 3 was like a mix but leaned towards 2 more
MW19 looks more stylized where a lot of care was put into the light sources and texture design. Liek every fucking texture has some sort of visual noise to keep them from looking like a single color (dirts with white rocks, really dark cracks, different colorations of bricks, etc.) The textures look more plain in MW22/23, where they depend on the global illumination to do most of the work for the aesthetic
you can still go play it. these games are still trash. graphics and realism isnt what cod stands on. people not even cod fans anymore. they need to go touch siege or battlefield for all that realism. cod is a arcade shooter. they havent made a good game since ghosts. and even then ghosts is arguable asf
no it wasnt lmfao...the community hated the juice out of it..only reason they talk so highly about it is cause its old...americans and gamers at large have this mental ailment....they see something old and say its better cause its old
You guys remember that every single season we had in wz1 felt like part a story? The cinematics, the purpose behind what was going on. Also, remember the zombie ship before cold war had came about? How it drew closer and closer every single day. The ingame events where you started seeing zombies until the whole thing was infected.. good times, what a shame thats when it ended.
@@findgod... did you miss out?? Verdansk season to season, had a little story unfolding with usually drastic map changes, and on top of the ship appearing with the zombies and you had to nuke by the end of it? You clearly didn't play og verdansk
Dude idk why, but the exploding car detail just blew my mind. I was really surprised that the other games didnt catch on that because they're supposed to be realism shooters. Plus shooting the fuel tank makes the explosion part make more sense to me than "shooting car door, car go boom"
That's now the weird part though... isn't mwII supposed to build off of mw2019's framework, including its physics and environment. Was this detail just deleted?
MW2019 was a beautiful and incredibly satisfying game. To me by far the best CoD ever made. I'm aware that many longtime cod fans hate it (for some reason), but I freaking loved it.
@@One_Luv26 I can appreciate that approach. Which games are you referring to? I played the original MW games and the first black ops and loved them. I think I mostly played Battlefield for a while after that tho.
@@4UDIOTAPE I started with the old old cod 4 modern warfare and played all the way up until vangaurd. The best ones (IMO) were cod 4, mw2 (2009), mw3(old version), bops1-4. Those were the glory days of cod
It isn't Huge if you play the Campaign of MW2 you will notice And MW2 is a cross gen game making a game look and play the same on 5 platforms is not a easy thing
@@ChandranPrema123 I don’t play campaign so wouldn’t no about that just mp/warzone ps5 got a mw19 Patch and it looked and played miles better than these two even vanguard looked better than mw2/mw3 the iw8 engine was far better then iw9 just look at the guns but mw19 was a miles bigger game gb wise so that’s probably why but it still a huge downgrade from mw19
I really miss operators like comforting themselves after grenades, tac. nades going off near them or just surviving the gunfight from MW19. Also if they'd just make a modern game with smoothness of animations + water physics from MW22 and the feel of guns, sounds and graphics from MW19 ...
I just want to say thank you to infinity ward sound engineers for doing such a amazing job on the sound effects, its want makes modern warfare stand out compared to recent cods. Bravo.🎉
It blows my mind that mw 2019 looks like a masterpiece, the way the guns feel snd how ominous the theme is? Man.. the sound design is just so good now here we are playing utter garbage versions from a successful game
For everyone wondering why mw2 and 3 feel Like a graphic downgrade is because they really decreased the details in favour for Performance and Overall Game size. Everyone was crying when there was a Patch for mw19.
Not only that, but everyone was also crying when they got killed by a Roze hiding in a dark spot. They said that the game was too dark and that they couldn't see people hiding in rooms.
I just hope that under new management, cod will move to every other year to support a hefty amount of additional content added for the 2 years a game is the newest release.
microsoft aint gonna do shit except kill cod even harder you can see the results with minecraft of what microsoft does the community gets hyped over what a singular mob added to the game YEARLY plus like the devs are the one making the game so microsoft buying out activision aint gonna change what the game looks like or plays like since thats the dev teams job
Is it just me, or does MW22 and MW23 look more like they were made from Cold War rather than MW19? It's hard for me to believe IW 9.0 was developed from the IW 8.0 engine MW19 runs on. Vanguard clearly was based on MW19's engine, but MW22 and MW23 don't quite have that MW19 look to them. MW22 and MW23 also don't run as well as MW19, and from my experience, they run more like Cold War as far as performance is concerned.
Mw2 doesnt looks as good as mw1, but mw3, damn i didnt like it at all... Mw2 un My opinión it's actually good, maybe not as good as mw1. But mw3 i SEE it, and it is a Black ops dressed like a mw.....
I wonder when COD will repeat the high that MW19 was... People didn't like the maps, but it's just because COD kids can only play three lanes. Best game since BO2/MW2
The reason for three-way maps is simple: do you prefer a dynamic and fun map, or a map full of doors and camping spots that make the game literally end in time rather than score?
I agree. Three lanes are by far the most boring thing lol. BOCW's use of three-lane maps and spawns was by far the most garbage system, even worse than people's claim of 2019's maps being garbage.
@@erosthespy campers and toxic players definitely agree with “three lines is boring” As a classic Call of Duty player that plays to have fun, I just can't play MW19 after a stressing day, just because of the “realism” that makes the gameplay completely annoying and with servers full of toxic players
MW19 just had better immersion with the characters I felt. My character reacted to being shot and would hype himself up when he healed. You could hear other teammates characters do the same sometimes and your character would get mad at being friendly fired and let your teammates know that you had their back. They would react to snipers and rpgs it was all great voice acting. With mw2 they toned it way back
The thing is... All of these games are on IW 8 engine. Meaning that technically they all have the same power to produce the same graphics. It's really just the art direction and how they are trying to differ each modern MW title from each other.
Infinity Ward makes new engines and the other studios use the same engine to make their own games. Infinity Ward is the innovative studio. The other studios just copy.
@@isaaczaiek487 ?? I get what ur saying but that also is false. Treyarch's engine was branched off of IW 3.0 engine and they made it their own for BO2, the T6 engine. Sledgehammer did the same after MW3 when they got their first standalone title, AW on the S1 engine & MWR + MW2 Campaign remastered on S2 Engine. You can google all of this, nothing is hidden. Once MW19 released all studios are on IW 8.0. Cold War was the only exception being the "Black Ops Cold War Engine" which is a mix/mash of IW 8.0 and BO4 engine
@@isaaczaiek487infinity Ward should go back to the roots and don't put trash things in it and change things that nobody wants to have that's how innovative they want to be. Infinity Ward should get fired
How to do “good” graphics: take all the colors out of your game and make it a camper's paradise (but after all, who needs fun gameplay when you have details?)
Just the colors dude, More vibrant means more appealing to the eye. As you can see in the thumbnail you can see that the fire in mw3 is more on photorealism and is the only one that has light reflecting on the pistol.
MW3 actually felt good guys lets not sleep on it, I haven’t played warzone in a couple months but i hopped on that Beta and it was great i have good hopes itll be refreshing once it’s fully released.
Let’s not forget that MW2019 was over 100+ GB and is the main reason that they “downgraded” graphics for subsequent titles. Considering that MW2 is 30-40GB and looks almost as good, they did a good job. Tired of hearing the “they’re downgrading” when 98% of the community hated the file size.
@eddnav it actually does if you didnt know cause better graphics and and animations require greater effetcs and those effects take up space if you check as well all the better looking games on steam have huge file sizes whilst the more mid looking ones are lower
MW2/3 is 90gb without campaign, multiplayer, coop, or warzone on Series X/PS5. That’s just the lobby and no actual playable gamemodes. Coop is +10gb, MW2 multiplayer is +20, MW3 Beta is +30, and MW2 campaign and warzone are both +30 too. Finger-math puts that at 210gb, but I’ve never actually downloaded everything because I deleted six games to get multiplayer, and I don’t want to delete the six other games I have left just for other modes of the same one game. At 210gb and $70+, it should be one hell of an improvement. Every other shooter on Series X is between 40-100gb for the whole game and look just as good.
@@fellowearthling1632 idk why its so much for you on console but for me on pc its 95gb for warzone and multiplayer without coop or campaign base game just warzone is 50gb multiplayer is around 45 and coop is like 10 and campaign 25 wich makes a total around 125 and for the argument of the other shooters they don't have as much content and game modes example a game that has around the same amount of content : halo infinite and its around 110
2019 is still better in terms of detail and care put into the atmosphere and sounds, it’s the only one that feels like it was being developed for like 4 years, but it’s the one I hate the most gameplay wise lol
Molly in mw19 doesnt have that horizontal (2d) flame like those 2 after. Infinityward did a wonder and cant repeat that juiciness of the graphic is just baffling.
Nah graphics from MW2 2022 r way better than MW2019 u can’t deny it and and mw3 bro all the idiots who compare finished games to the beta of a game not even finished and released
The first and third guns are _supposed_ to be the same, but they changed the reload animation and completely ignore the last round bolt lock function. The second gun is entirely different, hence the rate of fire difference.
Sometimes i have no idea how eveyone else’s vision/hearing works cause MWII was clearly a huge improvement over the first one in all aspects from the design, dynamic lighting, and sound recording, qol features (aside from taking away slide cancel) It was also much more complete with its Spec Ops mode actually having more to do, a fun campaign and introduced DMZ (a commendable attempt at the extraction style gameplay) Sure the hulu menu style is a miss, but the actual game itself is great and a huge improvement over 2019. I do be thinking that sometimes a lot of folks always go in favor of the first one for just being the first in any regard when even the sequel could be better. MWIII is a joke though, lets get that straight.
I feel like mw2019 got better without having a bad starting point, and just got better and better. MWII on the other hand, was a huge improvement, but it got all trashed out with its future updates. I like both, but i really, really liked MWII's first seasons more.
The gun details, gunsmith and overall gun realism is hand downs mw19… same for operator looks, so many milsim skin. I wish the 3 games were combined in one
MW19 (IW 8.0 Engine) is absolutely perfect for multiplayer and Warzone. No water physics, AI and terrible sound, better UI pretty much better than MWII (IW 9.0) in every way. The IW 9.0 Engine has an FOV slider and that’s all it’s got going for it really. Possibly the worst Engine upgrade in history if you ask me. Been gaming since 1985.
Perfect for a truly realistic multiplayer, not a Call of Duty multiplayer. In Call of Duty the balancing is a lot more important than graphics; you simply can't play MW19 to have fun after a stressing day 'cause of the campers and that annoying time-to-kill
You can see light illuminating in the flashbang you threw and the fire now has light reflecting off the pistol as you can see in mw3(The thumbnail of the vid), But other than that It's on beta.
MW19 doesnt really have better graphics, in fact it looks aged compared to the other 2, however, it does have better color correction/ LUTS, and that did bring it to life a bit more. MW2 is a bit more cartoony at times and 3 is just 2 with a grayer palette of colors, a more serious tone if you will.
