I wonder why Super Hang On never had a series of games when clearly it was one of the first motorcycle video games or at the very least the most well known one at the time.
I just got that game recently and playing through the career mode. It is an interesting game, and I am learning more about the drivers that were huge back then, like Rossi, Stoner, and Pedrosa (who is a beast in that game).
In my life I've played GP500 of Microprose, the ones of Namco in some games room, first installement of MotoGP URT, then MotoGP 08, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19. If I had to choose one game basing the choice on multiple factors I avoid to expose in order not to write an essay, I'd go with GP500 and MotoGP 08 ex equo.
Yet none of them replicate correctly the behaviour of a motorcycle. MotoGP2022 and Ride4 have a transition from side to side that is 4x slower than reality, also I can shift faster with my motorcycle that does not have a quick shift than in those games. The DEV of these games should go do a track day on a real motorcycle to get a feel. Riding motorcyle at high speed on the road or on a track is super simple and relaxed. Far from the feeling of racing in those sims. The only motorcycle sim that is actually super realistic is Piboso's GP Bikes and it is amazing in VR. One of the best for its time is Thalion's No Second Prize on the amiga. Also Hang On on the Sega Saturn was great with an analog joystick.
I agree. It never felt like the rider's weight was shifting properly on corners, and although the graphics got more and more stunning, the game play never matched up.
What in the actual fuck are you talking about regarding the turning being 4x slower? You are completely full of shit in every sense of the word as the bikes switch sides very quickly when you turn off the throttle. Lmfaoooo gramps go back to your scooter
The graphics of MotoGP 2 from 2003 (PC) equal the graphics of the console MotoGP from 2011 and are almost indistinguishable from the graphics of MotoGP 14 on PC
MotoGp 08 was such amazing game, physic not realistic ofc but thats the fun. MotoGp 2019 are fun too to play casualy even in 100% difficulty, ive spend almost 8 hours in the game so far but then in 2020 - 2022 its starting to try hard mode
Hello, Good video, It's really a shame that since all this time they have not taken out a periferic (motorcycle handlebars) adapted with force feedback, just like the steering wheel 🤨🤔🙄😡there was also Castrol Honda Super bikes on pc and consoles. Congratulations 👍🤗😉
namco motogp with its shitty physics feels like riding on a snow,cornering/banking like the bike pivoted to a fix point..only after milestone/thq release motogp urt gameplay, the ride feels natural,u can just feel the bike weight trsnfer to tire and track surface
