i have two of those bought one in 2021 and one in 2023. before that i had a 1080. can do most stuff but some just slightly lowered settings ... even does vr somewhat reasonable.
@@hongsethya4932considering price back them it was 700 dollars pretty good and this card was a beast in comparison to the other models but nvidia is not folish to created such monster again how they gonna sell newer cards if previous is really storng
@@ness3984 It surely did not achieve such an effect. And as to whether he was rude to others at that time or not, or if he already had some ego problems, it seems that it did not help him in that either. 🤷🏻
@@ZenzDeluxe Congratulations on that, keep working on improving your humanity as well, but I think you would need a better job for that. You didn't need to be rude with the boy's comment and it was an unrecheable dream for some for example people who were underage and couldn't work yet at that time... it's not just about getting a better job and you just didn't think about all the possibilities.😉
@@kermitthefraggmaybe the 1650, but not the 1660 and it's variants.. they were solid budget options for 1080p before their prices blew up by the end of 2020.
The jump from Maxwell to Pascal was the biggest jump without ramping up the wattage like a mad scientist. Even nvidia engineers were touting that they’ll never make anything better.
@@cheddarcheeese im talking about prices too gtx 1060 was so much more popular sure it beats it in raw performance but overall score most people prefered the gtx 1060
@@AtomicA7 They can't handle any sort of game that has demands 💀💀 What are you even on about? You talking about games for phones that can also be played on a computer??
Owning and selling a 1080ti was like selling a car to owned had so many memories with and cry to see it leave. Even though it makes no sense no. Not many pc parts. give that emotion.
I installed 1660 on my PC in 2020. It still can normally run Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 with adjusted settings and Baldur's Gate 3 too I hope that it will survive for 6 years more before I can afford a new CPU, GPU, RAM and motherboard
Extend that to 2009 and you'd be right. The HD5870 and 5850 were complete game changers when they released. They doubled the performance from the last generation and Nvidia spent an entire year catching up to AMD (ATi at the time), and it wasn't until the 500 series they managed to beat the already 1 year and 3 months old HD 5000 series. The GTX 570 released in December 2010 and just barely beat out the HD 5870 which released in September 2010 and MSRPd for $30 less. That time just around the switch to DirectX 11 was a magical time.
Until least week, I've been running my gtx 1650 since I got my first pre-built in 2019. Finally pulled the trigger on a whole new rig with a 4070 Super. It gives me the same euphoric rush you get when you buy a new car. So smooth, so clean, so beautiful - sorta makes you feel like you've started a new chapter in life. I can still hear my 1650 whispering "so long, partner." from my closet.
Gtx 490 never created it just dream its fake only maxed out gpu is 480 in 400 series :D but it's listed on TechPowerUp, no one has disputed its existence.
And he puts a crying clip to the 1080 Ti, which...is supposed to be sad...? To one of the best GPU releases of all time? Absolute mongoloid dogshit content.
1080 ti still works wonders I heard. im still stuck with a 1080 but every now and then I clean it and replace the thermal paste so it doesn’t lose performance. its 7 years old I think
My last gpu purchase was an an rtx 2080, and considering the price I paid I’m never buying cards new again. I plan to wait till the 40 series cards go down in price, probably by the time the 60 series comes out.
2070 is fucking GOATED imo. Been playing a lot of shit in 2k&4k and I’m astonished at its solid 60fps performance at that high of pixel density. My card is also 5+ years old now, been pushing it pretty hard between gaming and video editing the entire time.
Still running a 2080ti here. Right fan is struggling to say the least (as in it sounds like a failing car engine) but can still run modern games at 4k60 even in a dual monitor setup
of all the nvidia cards I've had in my life theres GT310M GTX460M GTX1050 GTX1060 and the 1080 that i never changed even 4 years later its enough for me
Was lucky enough to get a 12gb rog rtx 3060, will go from my older pc into a new build in the near future hopefully. I have yet to actually tap into its full potential
