Actually, that ending was completely made up for the western release of the game and isn't present in the original Japanese version. Its regarded as non-canon.

J-Marcos apparently that's not the canon ending in Japan. There, the best ending is the second-best ending here, where he just grows up then credits.

To be honest though, the only ending that I guess you can consider “canon” is the one where Pit becomes a captain in Palutena’s army (The second best in the Japan version, and third best in the US version). In Kid Icarus Uprising, Pit’s a captain in her army, so you can say its picked up from that ending.

Nah. They changed quite a bit- It's mostly in hitboxes and things, but, she's /super/ solid now. Would recommend!

I never comment on RU-vid, but holy shit this spoke words to me. Platinum Games is my favorite studio, they've made lots of my favorite games, (Revengeance, Vanquish, Bayonetta, NieR:A, etc, etc.) and Kid Icarus is one of my favorite things that exists, but it's so lacking in content. If that came to be, hot damn that'd be incredible. It's also kind of possible, because Kid Icarus is partially a rail shooter, and Platinum did Star Fox Zero, which, AFAIK, is a rail shooter.

masochist drink oh hey I’m glad I was able to make on impact on you! 😅 But yes, with the way that platinum does games, I do believe and agree Kid Icarus could greatly benefit from their talent. Perhaps for me, maybe not 100% a rail shooter, but also make it hack and slash like the games you mentioned because there seems to be a good foundation set with Uprising. (Although I have yet to play it so I’m not yet familiar with the mechanics lol) since Nintendo and Plat. seem to be buddy buddy rn, I really hope they go for this!

A brand new hack n slash action game by the great minds over at platinum starring a character based in a world of Greek mythology where our protagonist runs around with twin blades that he uses to fight Ares while rocking a nice pair of sandals and a skirt. Next thing you know, he might get a goatee, a red stripe down his eye and a temper problem haha. Oh..that concept’s been done already? Kidding aside, I’ve had that idea for a while too. Good to see someone else sharing it. :)

I think Sakurai might have been fond of the series considering how he was willing to bring in Pit AND Palutena (though a side character) into Brawl, with redesigns despite their slight obscurity in Nintendo’s history, not to mention that he chose to continue the series when Iwata (R.I.P.) asked him to create a game for the then upcoming system, 3DS using whatever franchise he wanted.

I remember reading somewhere that, that was what he did. I mean, therr were other retro characters but they didn't get updated.

I am sure it will have a bright future. Too bad it's not going to be the case for Golden Sun.
