Pokémon Artist Ken Sugimori ( 杉森 建 ) has his roots in Gam Freak on day 1. He is responsible for many of the the Pokémon designs and illustrations of Gen 1/6. He was also involved as an artist supervisor of 7/9. He is with his fellow pokemon artist responsible for the biggest franchise the world have seen.
