You know what would be funny? If the next Mario game started with everyone at a costume ball where Mario and Peach dressed up as each other. Then Bowser comes along and kidnaps Mario by mistake and Peach has to save him.

@@estelawilly8970 No she doesn’t. I know Peach isn’t smart because she’s always getting trapped in those towers, but so what? If it weren’t for Bowser kidnapping her, there would be no story or game, and Mario wouldn’t have gotten the chance of being a hero. Plus, she is a playable character in some games and can fight like most characters can.

Idk if anyone noticed it, but Peach had four new (as far as I'm concerned) voice lines! The first one is right before Mario gets clocked by Bowser's hat. You can barely hear her in the background, but to me it sounds like she is saying the word 'Wait'. The second time is during Bowser's dialogue and she says 'Ah' or 'Oh'. The third line is her saying a 'No' along with Bowser's dialogue. The final line is her saying 'Help me!' But the tone is waay different from prior games. I could be totally wrong, but I noticed those small lines and was pleasantly surprised!

That's the reason why I don't like the whole damsel in distress trope. If done repeatedly, it becomes boring and repetitive to the point where people lose interest in the female character and call her useless.

Peach can fight in Smash, Mario Kart and her own game Super Princess Peach. The whole point in her being the damsel that Mario must save is part of the plot in most Mario games. If not, then there would be no story to those games.

I know the princess is not very smart because she is always getting trapped in those towers, but her being the damsel in distress is part of the plot devices to serve the gameplay. Princess is the embodiment of courage and hope. Even when she does get kidnapped by Bowser, she knows that she'll be rescued by Mario. If she really was weak like everyone says she is, she would've given in to Bowser a long time ago. And that's why I like her so much. .....also she's really pretty.😊

Bowser doesn't love her, that's some stupid and disgusting retcon made by stupid Nintendo. The original and real reason why Bowser kidnapped Princess Toadstool, in the NES, was because Peach had magic that could help the Mushroom Kingdom but Bowser didn't want magic to protect the Mushroom Kingdom so he used dark magic, as a sorcerer, to turn the inhabitants into blocks and other inanimate objects. It's disgusting and stupid to see a dragon/turtle-like creature be in love with a human, that's a stupid bestiality retcon made by newer members of Nintendo.

2:00 Funny story, I was watching my cousin play Super Mario Sunshine when this happened. She said the princess was gonna get kidnapped, but I argued that she won’t be kidnapped... And then it happened. It was the most shocking moment I had in video gaming (To be fair, I was new to the Mario franchise, and that was my first Mario game. I mean, I understand your point, but 3D World and Super Princess Peach exists, and there are games where she got kidnapped and got out of it, or at least tries to help Mario out, like in Paper Mario, Thousand Year Door, Super Paper Mario (in which she was a badass playable character, i might add), Super Mario Galaxy where she sent those 1-Ups through letter, Bowser's Inside Story, when she literally used her magic to throw Bowser out of her castle! (Why doesn't she do that all the time? xD) And oh, when she's trapped in Paper Jam, she has some interesting conversations with her paper self, talking about how their tired of the same old thing happening qwq Plus, they plan on escaping too, making a cardboard Peach and everything! It would be cool, but unfortunately not gonna happen ;w; Mario is forever a silent protagonist, there's not a SINGLE game where he's speaking full on sentences! Peach, Bowser, and even Luigi have but for some reason, not Mario.. i guess they just want to keep him a neutral, pure hero, and giving him dialogue will give him some personality and thoughts of his own, which is, I guess what Nintendo _doesn't_ want 🤷😂 (Except in the M&L series which is one of the reasons why i love it so much uwu)

Yeah but it was a stupid retcon. The original reason he kidnapped her was because she had magic that protected the mushroom kingdom (NES game) so Bowser used dark magic and sorcery to turn the Mushroom Kingdom inhabitants into inanimate objects like bricks...a good and darker story than the annoying and childish stuff Nintendo put out nowadays. It looks disgusting for a dragon/turtle-like creature to be in love with a human, it's bestiality. Nintendo messed up. Donkey Kong didn't kidnap Pauline because he loved her, the real reason he kidnapped her was because Mario was being mean to him so he kidnapped her in frustration. Nintendo make some of the worst retcons, it's annoying.

Man the super mario rpg intro was so cool back in the day. Firstly, it was amazing seeing a mario cutscene. Secondly, it was so dark and kinda scary as a kid. One of the best turn based rpgs ever made, thousand yr door is the only other mario rpg even considered on that list.

Actually, she also got captured two other times. The second time was in the story mod of Mario Party DS, where she got lured and put in a cage by Bowser in the same moment as Mario and the others. The third time was in Smash Bros Ultimate. She’s not showing in the intro, but only Kirby is playable in the story mod, meaning that she got captured too. It also applies to Luigi and Peach.
