She is one of the immensely lucky stars to have some great songwriters as well as some of her own music. She might not have the kind of range like Beyonce, but her music is definitely very varied, which I think her Caribbean background really helped in that regard.

NotturnaioN if you search for a video he will explain, it was about he didn’t have time to see his family and he says that they were moving too fast for him. The fact they find Matt was amazing. It took a while for them to find his style of base and make music sound right with his bass but it all paid of when you listen to it.

Tl;dr Matt has grown on me every day since he has joined and I love his voice, both when singing bass, and when singing the lead Matt definitely seems like he's found his place in the group's dynamic at this point. Obviously when he first came in, he was kind of mimicking Avi, which served well both for the group and for the fans, but he seems like he has really solidified himself on the big stage, and he really feels like a full fledged member at this point (whereas previously he almost felt like a touring member). Also very happy to hear him jump up and sing lead a couple times (two of my favorite Rihanna songs tbh), he's got such a good voice and it's so different from anyone else in the group.

I disagree, I think Matt is infinitely better. Avi just did not have very good control over his voice. Matt's bass always sounds so smooth and slick, and it tends to fit better with the other voices in the group. I never thought I'd say this, but I'm kind of glad Avi left. Both for his own sake, and for the group as well.

I have to agree with ross ROSS. Avi brought the group together. His bass was bone chilling and he had a lovely range. I was so excited to watch this video. I'm 2 minutes into it and I'm not enjoying it. I feel like their heart is no longer in it. This is just a job to them now. No passion. No emotion. Their voices are mushed together, no staccato and no over articulation to separate the harmonies. I miss the old group.

Roisin M They’ve moved most of their music to a higher key recently and it’s really working out well for them. Fits right in with a lot of the trio’s sweetspots and let’s Matt go to town in his most comfortable low range without forcing him to hit notes he’ll struggle with.

All you people asking where Avi/deep voice guy/beard guy/long haired guy etc is, he announced he was leaving the group on May 12th 2017. At that point, to all intents and purposes, he left Pentatonix and was not involved in any new work Pentatonix were preparing. He did, however, honor all bookings Pentatonix had at that point, including their summer tour, and his final appearances with them was Sept 3rd 2017. Pentatonix’s 1st video with Avi came out at the end of July 2017. In October Matt Sallee joined them and he has been in 8 Pentatonix videos to date. If you want to know why Avi left Pentatonix please Google ‘Pentatonix Avi Kaplan’ where you will be able to find his video announcement. This is an experiment to see just how many people bother to read this. I wonder how long it will be before someone genuinely asks where Avi is because they can’t be bothered to use Google or scroll through the comments. I say ‘genuinely’ because I’m sure some will as a reaction to reading this and just because they can 😂

Tiffany TheBarber I’m not assuming anything. However it’s possible to sort the comments ‘newest first’ and then scroll through them to see what’s been said recently. Thousands of people are asking where Avi is but they can’t be bothered to either Google it or even scroll through the comments to see if their question has been answered. It’s not difficult to scroll through the comments before asking a question that’s been asked literally thousands of times before over the last year.

It would have been right at the top of the comments on the 1st page. Even after an hour or two it could still be found within 2 minutes as the pace the comments are being made is nowhere near the pace they were when this video came out. Everyone did sooooo well in this! Mitch's voice is gold, Scott is so strong and solid, Kirstie is QUEEN, Kevin is fantastic and so talented, and of course Matt keeps giving that great bass voice! I love you all and so excited to see you at your last stop at Tinley Park!
