Relight and Relight 2 are "OVA" "Director Cuts" of the anime. The former summarizing the L storyline and the latter summarizing the Near/Mello storyline. "Death Note" and "Last Name" are a two-part film series. The first film adapts the Origin and First Kira arc, ending with Misa gaining Rem's death-note. The second film adapts the Second Kira and Yotsuba Kira arcs, changing course with the anime by having L write his own name in the Death Note, preventing Light from killing him. "L: Change the World" is a spin-off where L trains his successor. This directly leads into a 3-part miniseries called "New Generation" and then to the wacked-out fifth film of this trilogy: "Light Up the New World"...where L's Successor (from "Change the World") has to find and stop a terrorist organization with access to a couple Death Notes. ---- There's also a Japanese live-action series. Though I will say, the musical caught me off-guard.

One of the few things I liked about the 2017 death note was that they always obscured ryuk’s face in some way. Keeping him in shadows or having him face away and have the spikes on his outfit block most of his face so you just barely get a good look at how grotesque it is.

@@master_gabriel5324 if you mean in the movie it was pretty rear to see him... but his design was very modernly wierd and it sort of removed a lot of certain features of him that really shows his character, and top it off you dont see him in the movie a lot and he seems to by very serious half the time which is but isnt the ryuk in the anime... I saw a video after this one about how bad the movie and they explained some of that there too
