@@sylvierose2799 Funnily enough the only problem I really have with P5A is the low quality animation and lack of action. The story is decently adapted for that episode count I guess.

And like I said before if you think P5A is an awful adaptation you should take a look at the Chaos;Child anime. The animation is fine but it butchers the source material's storyline and avoids character development. Or rather than watching it play the visual novel instead, which is a masterpiece and the best entry in the SciAdv franchise.

They are very different, the only thing similar is that they made a lot of anime for anime otaku. A-1 Picture doesn't have their own animators, but they have animation directors to keep check of the animations. This flexible business model allows them get away from the problem of distributing resources/manpower and to do multiple anime at the same time, however the quality of the anime is very inconsistent, heavily depends on the ability and connection of producers (staff) and what type of production team he form. The ceiling can be very high, but the floor can also be very low if they mess up with the schedules or anything important. Compared to A-1, Silver Link is a way less ambitious studio. That aim at taking a lot of fringe anime projects, and making them into fairly entertaining anime. Sometimes they don't join the production committee so whether the anime is successful or not don't matter to them. They also animate for other studio, including A-1 Picture. They have limited resource. For example for the last 2 years the production value of their anime drop because they are putting most of the manpower into making movie, where animation quality matters a lot more. (Non Non Biyori and Fate/kaleid liner movies). That's said their directors are master of corner-cutting so those usually won't affect the experience that much. Like Mitsuboshi colors is one of the best anime this winter despite being completely broke. A lot of things can make up for the lack of frame in an non-action anime (e.g. Voice acting, style, slide shows, music).

Justin Y. Chaos;Child is the canon sequel to Chaos;Head and somehow Steins;Gate. Unfortunately the anime adaptation is bad.

I liked Kokoro Connect too, but they are the only anime that I have watched from Silver Link. I never liked the opening, and the animation of kokoro connect is not much good, indeed, the history of the anime is very good. (sorry for a possibly mistake, english is not my mother language).

they have a lot of remarkable shows besides tanaka-kun. Tasogare otome amnesia, watamote, kokoro connect, non non biyori and masamune-kun are all pretty great. C3, fate kaleid and OniAi are only great if you can ignore fanservice. Then you have baka to test, nourin and shoumin sample which are kinda average comedies but still generally inoffensive.Yurikuma is also one of those weird symbolic shows that are all the rage within critics.

Honestly though Chaos;Child could have been a great anime and maybe their best work. After all the visual novel is better than Steins;Gate.

@joakkar I wouldn't say they have a lot of remarkable shows. Out of the ones you mentioned Watamote and Masamune-kun I've watched a few episodes of each, and I don't think they were that good (but not bad). Watamote is very different to the more usual slice of life shows that are out there at least, so I do respect the show for that.

Libera me from hell (Gurren Lagann) is from Iwasaki Taku (Rap Part by Tarantula, Operetta by Kasahara Yuri). Same goes for the Gatchaman Soundtrack, made by the composer named Taku Iwasaki. Only the Kill la Kill OST is by Hiroyuki Sawano~
