Not gonna lie, it kind of bothers me that people never include the Biolizard fight in compilations like this as part of SA2's final battle. I personally consider it to be Phase 1 since the Finalhazard is technically just the Biolizard in a new form and the fights happen back to back.

He is a separate boss outside of all previous campaigns. It was absolutely the same with Perfect Chaos in Sonic Adventure, or Finalizard in Sonic Adventure 2, or Devil Doom in Shadow the Hedgehog... Yes, these are not such "Secret Final Bosses!", for which you need not only to go through the game to the holes, but also to collect all (most often balanced through the ass) secret artifacts (again, most often these are the well-known Chaos Emeralds), as it was in Sonic Heroes or in Sonic Mania... In my opinion (which in my opinion has a logical justification) "Secret Final Boss" is any final boss that is not required to complete the game's campaign, because of this, Devil Doom will be appropriate here (you need to go through the campaign ten times. .. that is, see and hear different titles 10 times...), Solaris (I remind you that you need to go through three campaigns with titles...), and even Merlina the Dark Queen (after all, you have to see the titles and return to the main menu games! 😏). So... He is the Secret Final Boss.
