The bonus levels are always my favorite part about Crash. The designs, the themes and the way the platform takes you to a different area of the world. Also, as much as I loved Crash 4, I really wish the platform would visually show you to the new area and not just disappear. It would have made the visual more stunning! Idk it's just me. Is it just me or does the music for XS/The Huge Adventure and N-Tranced's bonus rounds sound like they'd play during a transformation sequence a la Power Rangers?
interesting fact on the NST crash 2 there are some extra lives in a few areas (mainly bonus rounds) that are actually unreachable due to the physics being more in line with crash 3 than crash 2. Theres also a couple of jumps that are just impossible such as turtle woods theres a mud pit with 2 boxes in it you cannot jump from one box to the next. Its sad that such things were never patched.
I would gladly welcome back Crash 1 style bonus rounds that open up as you collect icons of some character that you meet at the end of the bonus round. Except it would be better in the NST version (where you can retry a bonus round every time you die in it, without any penalty like not being able to replay the bonus round unless you exit the level and collect the icons again).
Increadible how Crash 1, Crash 2 and Crash 3, which were build back in the 90's, are better in gameplay, style, graphic etc, then the Crash Bandicoot games build in 2000s. Much respect for Naughty Dog for a good job.
