Exactly. I had 4k hours in BloodBorne. I've crashed countless players with Moonlight Great Sword, and before the DLC I used replica sword. And this guy says it's just an "Easter egg". Like what the fk?!
@@maxzybin8039 4k hours is crazy, I just beat it today and platinum'd it, got DLC trophies too, I never want to play it again. don't get me wrong I understand why it's so revered and one of the best games ever made, gameplay mechanics, character design, lore, etc. are amazing, but it's torture fighting the same boss for days on end. I guess Soulsborne games just aren't for me
@Sonic-Tonic- nah... I didn't replay it over and over... OK, I did replay it few times to prepare different builds and setups. Chalice dungeons were torture, but I did them anyway. Gems, alt weapons and stuff... But after that I did countless invasions, helped beginner streamers with difficult bosses and areas (I'd they asked), helped to organize countless battle club tournaments, where we did some crazy battles like 3v3, also we did some max stat PvPs with no restrictions... That was fun.
a very easy way to do it, even at SL1. Stand by the crystal, and wait for him to come close enough to attack. As soon as he starts winding up for his attack, start running around him. He can't turn while attacking, and when he breaks the crystal, it stuns him, making it so he wont turn for even longer. This gives enough time to run around and get enough hits to break it. If you don't get it, just quit out and try again.
"This one is super easy, just cut off Seath's tail" I spent what felt like 30 minutes chasing that tail and getting whipped around like a goddamn chew toy
Minor note: In the Dark Souls 3 clip of this video, the Moonlight Greatsword shown is actually a spell named ‘Old Moonlight’ that can be crafted after obtaining Darkeater Midir’s soul.
Fun fact about the Moonlight Greatsword in Armored Core VI, there's actually a Red version of the Moonlight Greatsword weapon that's powered by coral. Meaning that you can use 2 of them at once on a mech.
The original Moonlight Sword was created by Guyra as a weapon to be used against Seath. You heard that right, there's a character named Seath in Kings Field and is associated with the Moonlight Sword, albeit it inversely. Seath from Kings Field was the inspiration for Seath the Scaleless and Guyra was presumably the inspiration for Kalameet.
I guess the moonlight is more legit in bloodborn than the one in elden ring. In bloodborne, the moonlight is only avaible in the dlc but in the lore the other greatswords used by the hunters are copy of the original moonlight so a piece of the lore is based on this sword. Also in elden ring the name isn't really moonlight, it's darkmoon and it's light color is more blue than the other wich are more green
The color has nothing to do with it, the original moonlight sword was blue (this is even referenced in ds3), so I guess the Darkmoon is actually closer to the original sword "from not long after the beginning" than Bloodborne's is
Note: you don’t have to restart your entire run in Dark Souls 2. There is an item called a bonfire asthetic that resets makes an area a new game plus area without starting the game over
There's also a pseudo/prototype of the moonlight sword in the game Eternal Ring called the Eternal Sword that looks very similar to the moonlight great sword version from the dark souls games.
Not to be that person, but the clip you used for the moonlight greatsword in DS3 is not the moonlight greatsword, it's actually a spell that is meant to mimic it called old moonlight
Its not an easter egg in Bloodborne? It’s a completely fleshed out weapon you can use, just like in the souls games. Also you showed the spell “Old Moonlight” in DS3 when showing the Moonlight greatsword in that game, not the actual sword.
@@WhiteStray Its technically called “Holy Moonlight Sword” (not Greatsword) which is why i made the distinction, but your right, the difference isn’t enough to matter. Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll edit the comment
In between Kings Field and Demon's Souls there is also 'Enchanted Arms' whcih features the Moonlight greatsword. It also features the 'Moonlight barrel' which is a gun version of the sword. The vanguard demon from Demon's Souls is also in Enchanted arms as a golem named 'Dabrad'
Don't forget the old moonlight spell in ds3. The model of the phantasmal sword it conjures is the original moonlight sword model from kings field 2, other than the length of the blade being slightly extended, its nearly untouched.
I love the Description of the Bluemoon Greatsword in DS2 cause you need to "prove" yourself to "unlock" it's powers. Wish you could it would've been great storywise.
In chapter 4 7th mission head toward a destroyed suspension bridge, where you’ll be attacked by an Autonomous Grinder Wheel. Below that bridge are more grinder wheels, and at its terminus, you will see the container that has it, have fun!
I don't know about armored core 1-5 but I know that armored core fires of rubicon's moonlight sword is more similar to the moonveil from elden ring than a great sword, but from the lore of the sword it is plausible that it just got an artistic rework there.
Isn't there another Fromsoft game where it ripped off Ninja Gaiden? I think they got the Greatsword there as well Ok, i found it, it's titled Ninja Blade
In dark souls 2 you don't need to be in ng+ you just need one item called a bonfire astetic. It basically looks like a hallow pumpkin with a flame in it. By using it at the bonefire closest to the boss. It turns the area into ng+ without having to beat the game.
Weird that fromsoft never added stuff like cutting off monster parts anymore. Would be a great addition to elden ring to maybe craft some gear from dragon parts or sm
It lists the moonlight greatsword as costing 10,000 souls in DS2, but you can actually get it for free if it’s the first boss weapon you get from Ornifex.
While armor core and bloodborne have them (not as easter eggs), it does appear in the kings field like game by akuma kira, lunacid, (heavily recommend btw) as an easter egg gained by doing a secret time challenge in boiling grotto. While not the beat weapon in the game, it is one of the best and will serve you through the end game.
Cutting off seethe tail was so hard for me because not only was I highly over leveled my first play through of dks remastered I also was confused on which part of the tail was the middle since the thing is so wiggly and floppy, I ended up killing him… ahh great times
The Moonlight and Ludwig's Holy Moonlight Sword are not easter eggs, they are a continuation of this recurring weapon. Alternatively, one could argue every iteration after King's Field has been an easter egg referencing the one in the King's Field games.
What people dont consider is that this sword has been appearing in (i dont have official sources) every fromsoft games, waaaaay back dark souls. You could get it in all Armored core games back in the ps2 era (all from ac2 to ac Last Raven)
People in the comments clowning on this dude for calling it an easter egg in Bloodborne and Armored Core, I looove yall, but you can't let him forget the OGs in Kingsfield.
In the ninja game that was released at the same time as demon souls the moonlight greatsword made a cameo in the ending if you complete the game at 100 %
