iam really dissapointed by what Armenians did to yerevan they should have these monuments and churches and then complain how turks destroy their lands?
Most of Yerevans old churches were destroyed by the Soviets during Soviet times. The other monuments were mostly statues of Stalin and Lenin. Do you really think Armenians should have kept those?
@@ericv1957 okay then . Then what about historical buildings ?? such as 'Ani hotel' and many other homes and monumental buildings that were destroyed for $$$ ? Armenians are still responsible for that.
"The eastern part of the current territory of the Republic of Turkey is part of the ancestral homeland of the Armenians.[4] Along with the Armenian population, during and after the Armenian genocide the Armenian cultural heritage was targeted for destruction by the Turkish government. Of the several thousand churches and monasteries (usually estimated from two to three thousand) in the Ottoman Empire in 1914, today only a few hundred are still standing in some form; most of these are in danger of collapse. Those that continue to function are mainly in Istanbul." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armenian_cultural_heritage_in_Turkey
@@sedArt-ub9be There were no Armenians in the region till 18th century. Take a look at old drawings and pics - all you will notice are mosques. Not a single architectural evidence of Armenian presence-)
