I don't normally go for "funny/humorous" in reviews but, yeah, it was fine! I only came across the Evo-vac recently. We already have a Vax that my son has rigged up with a cyclone & both on a trolley. But it's a bit of a PITA to shift out of the workshop. Something like this would be great both in and out - and yes, that auto-power take-off thing is very interesting! And sometimes I just need to blow Stuff off the patio or suck up any water that makes it past my 1st-line defences into the garage when we get those summer downpours. Hmmm ... subscribed!
Just bought one of these to go with a, surprise surprise, Evolution mitre saw. You didn't test the blower function - if you had, you've have found another design flaw - you have to remove one of the stored tools to plug the hose in.
Hi, I actually ordered one before watching your video. Three years on, are you still using it? If yes, did you manage to find a bag that fits the unit? Oh, and thanks for sharing!
So, yes, I do still use it. It's mainly used to clean up around my cnc. I don't use it commercially, though. I have upgraded to the festool midi for going onto sites. I never actually looked into a bag, although the main issue I find is the bin is simply not big enough. As soon as you fill it up 1/4 full, you have to empty it to stop it from clogging up. Would I still buy one? Absolutely not.
Thanks for the prompt response. I've got the big, three-motor Hyundai for the heavy lifting, and I've been using a cheap and cheery Parkside 20v vacuum. I couldn't be happier with it, but for the fact that it rapidly goes through batteries. I reckon the corded Evolution R15 will be just fine attached to the Domino, particularly if I can source a bag.🤞
Really enjoyed your light hearted, honest and funny review. I'm a bit late to the party on this one, as i've just bought mine. I've solved the hose storage issue by simply slotting it into the attachments on the side - job done 👍
Thank you for sharing your review as I could do one like this for my little men-shed/Shed along with Evolution’s Table Saw (RAGE 5-S & Fury 6 Combo). The power take off is something would help me a lot as being disabled, it’s hard to attend individual item one at a time. I believe, “Our World is a Shared Experience”… Remember, *_Life_* is *_Short_* so, *_Live Long_* and *_Prosper_* … 🖖 Look after yourself and each other & Stay Safe! Cheers matey!!!
Hello everyone 😃 😎 WH Creations Would you recommend for cleaning a car with pets hair as i need strong suction? Thank you very much for the helpful review and hilarious video haha 😄
Hey, I'm not planning too, but I can say it's still going strong and used every time I'm in the workshop. The only issue I have is that filter that gets blocked extremely quickly and needs cleaning whenever you empty it. You really notice the difference in suction when it is blocked up though and a few good whacks in the bin gets rid of the majority to get it back to new again. My only fear with putting a bag around it is that it would take up valuable room in the already small bin and could cause issues when you use it. I think the bin needs to be bigger and something done around the filter. I'm not sure whether evolution will be fixing this on their next phase or not but I seriously think they should. I hope this helps, but let me know if there's anything particular you want to know.
Hey, I designed and 3d printed it. I'm not sure there is one commercially available online. Feel free to drop me a message if you would like to buy one 👌
Really enjoyed your review video Will, but have you got the dimension right? The dimensions on your tape rule don't seem to match what's shown in the video?
@@WHCreations No worries mate, bought one anyway. Think you might have used the 'Packaging' dimensions quoted by Evolution. Could have been worse, Amazon quoted the 'Product Dimensions' as 16.5L x 11W x 11.8H centimetres. Basically the size of a Childs shoe box.🤣
@@fredholmes6284 they have mate, I have just received one yesterday from evolution along with their new 8ah battery. Still doesn't have a bag for the filter which is a shame because the filter packs in fine dust which needs cleaning every time you empty the box.
Have been in contact with evolution. There are no plans to make the vacuum 110v, and you should be able to plug a converter into the power take off as long as the wattage of the machine being powered is within spec in the manual guidelines.
I'd highly recommend trying to find a paper dust filter for it. After having this for a while now, I've found I spend more time trying to clean the filter.
