We are not hairless. Human beings, by and large, have hair. The difference is that instead of thick fur, we have baby hairs or very fine hairs in many areas. Humans also have a much higher density of eccrine or sweat glands that allows us to cool ourselves during long or strenuous physical exertion in high temperatures.

He neglects/is ignorant of/ or simply ignores the fact that many freak show performers were happy in their roles, were considered celebrities, and made good money out of their hussles. All apes do not have fur, just thick coarse body hair known as terminal hair. We have the same number of hair follicles as chimpanzees and bonobos, but our hair has converted to vellus hair aka peach fuzz. This change can easily be reversed via naturally through one’s hormonal process, or it can be done artificially. The latter is most common in restoring hair in balding men. As for the chicken thing, yes experiments have been done to reverse development of chicken embryos to restore traits from their dinosaurs heritage. I’d bet that the genes for body hair we have now are basically the same one’s that made our direct ancestors much hairier. We tend to think of evolution as new genes replacing old ones, but it’s mostly the same genes evolving, causing changes in the way they physically manifest. Humans are still covered in body hair, like all apes, we just have fewer hairs. Over time, the genes for “body hair” evolved from “a lot of hair” to “some hair”, but they are still, fundamentally, the same genes our ancestors had. FUN FACT: The anti-slavery movement in the U.S.A. embraced “On the Origin of Species” as proof that it was scientifically wrong to practice slavery. If humans all had a common ancestor, were all a single species, then there was no argument for the superiority of one race over another, thus slavery must be immoral.

The repeated use of past science/past scientists as supposed truth of what these apologists claim is crazy. If those past scientists were exposed to current knowledge of DNA, its structure and mechanism and modern genetics, how many would have changed their views based on that knowledge? Just because they (apologists, not scientists) dogmatically follow information from their 2000 year old book they try to impart that style of dogmatic thinking onto science. Theyre saying that evolution was used as a justification for the dehumanization and subsequent mistreatment of specific groups of people. They are not saying that science is objectively bad. It is, however a bad faith argument to suggest that a since creationists disagree with the theory of evolution, they therefore believe that all science and all scientists are bad considering that there are many credible scientists that are indeed creationists.

I want to talk about Carl Sagan. To many people Carl Sagan was a voice of reason. He was a kind and intelligent man who took on the position of educating the masses. His lectures and presentations were edifying and helpful in promoting enlightenment among the masses. I say bullshit! I say that Carl Sagan was a propagandist who spread hate and division among the masses. Under the guise of scientific enlightenment, he justified condescension and derision towards Christians and other believers. And he does it in a sneaky and passive/aggressive way, which makes him even more despicable! Science is owned by the people who fund it. If science didn't help to make profits for industrialists or if it didn't feed the war machine, then it wouldn't exist except for maybe in cloister. Sagan worked for NASA. I think for PR as much as anything. His presence made NASA look like it had a peaceful, beneficial to humanity mission. NASA was publicly funded R&D for defense contractors. Data obtained through the projects at NASA helped the defense establishment to build ICBM's. Sagan was certainly a part of the Military Industrial Complex. In his own little way, he contributed to the war machine. (Sagan wasn't very bright and I am sure he was just a useful idiot.) Sagan and his modern counterparts are copies of each other. They all say the same thing. None of them will ever talk about the dark side of the technocracy. They will never mention that science has enabled copious amounts of pollution. They will never talk about how science feeds the war machine. Leaving out a large part of the story makes him deceptive. Public Broadcasting isn't funded by hippies. It is funded by serious businesspeople who work at large, worldwide, corporations. Big oil, big agriculture. I have seen where BP and Archer Daniels have underwritten PBS presentations. I like lawyers. Lawyers are the smartest people. I base this on the observable fact that they use the language better than anyone else. Plus, they are the ones that make up the rules and see to their implementation. Legal arguments by definition can not possess any ideology. They can only use facts in evidence, and they use these facts to try to persuade a jury what these facts imply. Facts are subject to interpretation so there is usually another lawyer trying to say that those same facts mean something different. Krauss, Dawkins, Tyson, et al are not smart enough to be lawyers. Evidence as it pertains to scientific theory can be easily dismissed and it will hurt you not one bit. But the kind of evidence that lawyers deal with is very important as the quality of a person's life can depend on a good lawyer.
